We are about half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. On the California coast. We hold field target matches on the 3rd Sunday of most months.
Regular match fees are $10 for the general public.
We will also be holding the bigger Western States match on August 17th & 18th.
We are a relatively new addition to the San Luis Smallbore Association and are looking for new airgun shooters as members. We also have weekly Wednesday afternoon/evening practice shoots for members and guests on the silhouette range with a BBQ afterwards. There is no charge to attend these shoots as a member or guest.
Follow the link at the bottom of this post for more information.
-
Can't make this one, but I'll be there in August.

Looks like it's coming together .... should make it down as a M/C trip with camping gear and guns in the touring trailer for the Aug 17-18 match ;D
-
We will be having a 48 shot match. The sight in range opens at 8am.
If you are traveling from out of the area, and want to camp Saturday night, let me know. If we get a few campers, I'll do a BBQ Saturday night at the clubhouse

Our last match for this year. We will be having a 48 shot match. The sight in range opens at 8am.
Besides the standard AAFTA Dvisions/Classes, we are allowing Freestyle (CAFTA) style shooters. That means all AAFTA legal shooting aids as well as laser range finders. So bipods/sticks and high power scopes/rangefinders can be used together.

We normally want to set about a T35 course. This one seemed particularly difficult so I documented it. Follow the above link for details. It was tough, especially for us piston shooters.
I'm still shooting my Diana 34, sitting on the ground, sans bipod. It is challenging but I'm getting better. I switched from JSB 7.87gr to 8.44gr and they seem to be a little better in the wind. I got my dope dialed in a little better and am pleased with the score. My arch-rival :), Jeff C, also shooting a Diana, had some trouble today. He ran out out of the the only pellets that his gun shoots well.
Alan shot a great score with the Marauder.

This match in August 17th and 18th has caught my eye. My son and I may just have to make this. It is a 6 hour drive one way for us so we will be camping for sure. Pop up tent trailer. Sounds like a great time. See what we can do. Good luck on the upcoming matches!

Thanks Scott and Alan, you guys know how to put on a fun match. I know everyone had a great time. Including Rascal.
This would be a great place to have the Nationals in 2015 or 2016.Those of you that have come down to SLO know how beautiful place it is.
Thanks again Scott.
Don't know how to load pictures, I got a bunch.

My info is incorrect. I'm shooting a Daisy 880 with a Turkish 3x9 scope and using wadcutter pellets made in Somalia. In open class.
Looking forward to the event, though. Beautiful country, great weather, airgunners, shooting, doesn't get much better.

Someone can shoot a pistol instead of a rifle in the regular match if they want to. But, no separate pistol match. Maybe at a future match. We don't have the resources to put on a separate pistol match.

-
Are campfires allowed on the club property?
There is a designated fire pit at the clubhouse for the BBQ and we keep it going into the night at times.
Probably not a good idea to have campfires at individual campsites. All grass is very dry right now.
-
Understood. I've got a steel fire pit, but I'll leave it at home to be safe.
-

I just reconfigured our targets per suggestions from others.
Previously, we have been running Gamo targets, most with reducers. About 70% of the targets in a typical match have had reducers. I pulled all of the reducers from the targets with squirrel faceplates. Future matches will have only about 30% of the targets with reducers. There will be a lot more full size kill zones. We will also be pushing the average distance out some.
The squirrel faceplate is susceptible to rattle downs when you hit the tail. If you shoot high on the tail with a 18+fpe rifle, you have a near even chance of rattling the target down. Judging by the hits on our targets, it's apparent that some shooters were taking advantage of that fact when facing a squirrel with a 3/8" or 1/2" reducer. Now that all of the squirrels have a full size kill zone to aim for, the tail shot looks a lot less enticing.
Our next FT match should be a good trial run of the new configuration. I repainted all of the paddles for the next match. The bright yellow paddles in the full size kill zones should be easy targets :).
Not field target related, but we had out first silhouette match today:

Nice job, Scott. I see you mixed in some pigs and turkeys in there.

Yellow on black gives the best contrast. Quick to repaint. I doubt that you really care how pretty it is once you get your sights lined up.

Baxter,
Come to the match. I'll allow a new competitor over 20fpe for one match. Bring your rifle that is closest to 20fpe (.177 or .22). You'll shoot Freestyle (not AAFTA rules). Or you can borrow a rifle. I'll squad you with someone who can answer any questions as you learn the game.

We've always had some chickens, doves, pigs, rabbits, rams, and turkeys. But mostly squirrels.

Great I have to see, going out on Friday, but there is a 50/50 chance that I can come on Sunday. If not I will have to plan for it, as my wife says only once a week for hobbies as far as traveling.

We now have plans in place for a 40 shot PFT match on the Saturday afternoon, following the first day of rifle shooting. All of our club's targets and resources will be dedicated to the rifle match. But the good news is - "The Nomadic Field Target Course" is coming to town and will be configured as an AAFTA Grand Prix pistol match. Set in "Chorro Valley". Thanks Lonnie!

The Morro Bay Airgunners are starting our third year of hosting field target matches.
Competitors are invited to the all-comers camping, BBQ, and match.
Arrive Saturday afternoon and $10 entry get you all three. Early arrivals get the choice camping spots. The sight in range should be open around 2pm Saturday.
BBQ outside the clubhouse around 7pm.
Sunday is match day with continental breakfast in the clubhouse at 7am. The site-in range opens again at 8am. Shooters meeting at 9am and then a 48 shot match.
Freeststyle shooters can compete. So you can use this match as a good warm up for the Temecula match, as you can try out your LRF on a field target course. Morro Bay usually has some wind so good practice for your wind doping.
Everyone competes for 1st thru 3rd place medals in either Piston or Pre-charge.
PS - Bathroom/washroom on site, but the only guaranteed shower available that day will be a cold garden hose.
Who plans on being there?

Actually, it's a silhouette match but I wanted it to fit into the Field Target forum.
The Morro Bay Airgunners have been hosting airgun silhouette matches for the last few months.
They are run on the first Sunday of each month in conjunction with the smallbore matches.

The club is getting some new, resettable targets for the match this coming Sunday. All invited:

Good place to get a BIG dose of how it's done ... ALL the AAFTA class types + "Outlaw" will be represented over the weekend.
Lot to take in ... thats a fact ;D

Any & All allowed ....
For most it becomes using a Hunter rig with BIG glass & high magnification clicking while on a bucket & bi-pod.
Some MD's may even allow range finders. Tho at a mixed venue of this matches level, No way do you want range finder on the course what so ever !!

Great weekend with weather @ mid 70* all days ( Maybe a tad warmer Sat )
Thinking 49 shooters was final tally tho we lost a few for Sunday, gained 1 as well.
TOUGH tough tough course with lots of 3/8 - 1/2" inside 15 yards, modest to small KZ's mid ranges ... then a fair dose of modest to tough 40 -55's out in the open with that ever present wind :-\ to contend with !! Having good elevation dope is one thing, hail mary shots into switching winds made for some interesting guess work :o
Scott Hull and crew did there usual Fantastic job accommodating 60+ mouths to feed and provide drink for ;D
Looking forward to the official report as well ;)

Well, well.. I must say that this was My first FT event, or first any type of AG event and it won't be My last!
Being My first event, I didn't know what to expect, but I must say EVERYONE there at Morro Bay Club makes it as easy and painless to come as a newbie, but felt completely comfortable and at home..
There is plenty of space for camping, glamping (RV spots with power) running water bathrooms and HOT SHOWERS!! The club house was always filled with plenty of friendly people eager just just hang out and shoot (pardon My pun) the breeze.. The shooting facility, practice range, FT course were unbelievably amazing and well thought out.. Bug spray, targets, air, water, food, energy bars, soda, suds, breakfast, lunch, dinner, chrono, advice... Even a 'mini me' flea market, and Boys, You don't wanna even know the deals that slipped through My fingers!!! ARRRGGGH! List goes on.. There was NOTHING lacking.
Oh... They feed You and feed You good.. The BBQ was amazing.. BIG grill style.. Smoked turkey, hamburgers, sandwiches, chips, marinated tri tip, sausages, salad, grilled mushrooms, grilled veggies.. I'll stop there.. Yes the food is good and plentiful, AS WELL as drink, and yes the good kind!! I brought food for camping, but who wants to eat canned tuna when there is delicious BBQ in the air!! NOWHERE can such a small entry fee go so far!!!!!!!!!! It was a privilege to crack suds with the likes of Scott S, and a lot of other great folks there and just get to know each other..
I'm telling You I met SOOO many nice folks, that I'm sure will turn out to be life long friends..
It also was exciting to meet and greet with 'infamous' You tubers, 'THE' guys from AOA, PA shooters, MAC1, and some of the best shooters around the world!
Soooo... I show up with My D48. I lubbed it up, got some dieseling after and something that is out of My expertise happend and now it is shooting 595 FPS with 14.5 Superdomes.. Yes I was depressed to say the least. But I'm NOT the one to get discouraged, and heck!. I was gonna shoot it anyway! No doubt in My mind! I'm competing regardless.. Then, SOOO many of the good folks of OUR sport stepped up and volunteered THEIR OWN personal HIGH QUALITY AG for ME to compete with that I was just taken back.. We all live in this world and we ALL know how people can be.. I have seldom been so humbled.. What a GREAT place to be..
With that said one of the people was Motorhead in the flesh volunteering his fully prepped Mrod FT rig!.. I don't think it took more than a millisecond for Me to except, lest I be labeled a fool forever!
I stepped up the the practice range with the Motorhead FT Mrod.. Let loose just a few rounds.. Then.. THEN I know what I was in for.. Serous challenge of a clearly superior degree of accuracy.. I was really excited about the next days, but a bit nervous..
My first match.. Shooting a Motorhead FT prep.. Never, did I think this is how this tournament would end up..
I enjoyed shooting with everyone.. Watching, learning, taking advice from some of the best in the field.. I had a intense feeling between nerves and laughter, to Me that equals fun.. I learned SOO much and can't wait to come back and share the knowledge I learned to other new shooters as well as compete with all You great folks!!
It was a LOOONG drive from SEA/TAC.. Will I ever drive that far for another FT tournament? Umm, maybe.. Will I ever drive out to Morro Bay Shooters club events.. DEFINITELY!
I even conned My lady into coming to this telling her, 'well there's nice stuff around Morro Bay/San Luis Obisbo area'... I'll start by telling You that She is not, NOT a shooter, nor do I see Her being a shooter in the future... She was uncomfortable with staying and hanging around with the 'guys' (even tho there were women in the tournament) that during the Fri practice/food/bevs (fun) and Sat. match. While I did My thing she went to SLO and got her nails done and had a good time in SLO seeing the sights, nature, and so on.. I asked her to come to the Sun match, because I knew that she would fit in and have a great time, regardless of not being the shooter type.. I knew that everyone there was as friendly and amicable and so on, I'll just say that she had a great time just hanging out and talking to people.. She even got involved and was helping around and enjoyed herself because of the friendly atmosphere and people.. I think she got more time talking with the peeps that I was wanting to 'pick' their brains than I did !!! I know she wasn't talking about our sport, but I'm jealous!! HAHA!
Thank You Scott S for turning My frown upside down! Thanks to ALL of You that help set Me up, and volunteered help, with equipment for the match.. Sticks, stools, AG's, pellets, etc.. I really felt like family and that feeling is awesome.. My lady even commented and wanted You all to know that WE THANK YOU!!
Hats of to Scott H, and his crew, and EVERYONE that attended, because there wasn't a person that I meet there that wasn't there to enjoy themselves and have a good time with good folk! BRAVO!!
-
I'll get a report done in the near future. Need to recover first. I decided to do results only for now:
Western States Champions:
http://www.slsba.org/airgun/results/WS-2015-Class.htm (http://www.slsba.org/airgun/results/WS-2015-Class.htm)
AAFTA class winners:
http://www.slsba.org/airgun/results/WS-2015-AAFTA.htm (http://www.slsba.org/airgun/results/WS-2015-AAFTA.htm)
Edit: There were some (maybe 4?) corrections to a few scores since I first posted. Inconsequential to awards at the match. But these scores will be submitted to AAFTA for inclusion in the Grand Prix. Mostly addition errors that were not caught at the match.
I entered every shot (that's 5640 shots) in a spreadsheet and checked each card that did not match the posted scores. Anyone that disagrees is welcome to see their card.
-
ToRmEnToR,
Wow, thanks for the endorsements, compliments, and just the fact that you attended and took any adversity in stride.

This will be a 48 shot match set fairly easy (less than T25), as opposed to the T28-T32 that we usually set. PCP and Piston welcome at this match. But, we are encouraging everyone to bring their piston guns for this springer friendly course. Use it as a warm-up for next month's West Coast Piston Championships.

Great weekend !!

Scott thanks for hosting a great weekend of shooting and good company hope to see you again at the next one
-
I had a great time last weekend in the ideal kind of match for me....a piston only match! Thanks for the great hospitality and it was nice to have a peaceful place to camp out over the weekend. I really enjoyed the varied terrain of the course and meeting some of you Socal guys and putting a name with a face. Excellent shooting on your part too, by the way! See you for another match!

I bought two Benjamin Prowlers w/4x Centerpoint scopes (Basic Break Barrel). I'll shoot one this Sunday. Anyone else is welcome to shoot the other. I tested pellets (settled on AA 8.4gr), sighted them in, and made dope sheets for them. They are ready to go.
Sight-in opens at 8am.

http://www.slsba.org/airgun/results/results06-19-2016.htm (http://www.slsba.org/airgun/results/results06-19-2016.htm)
I did a BasicBreakBarrel (BBB) experiment at this match. Alan and I used very basic, low cost break barrel rifles. They were Benjamin Prowler refurbs ($80 each). The type of rifle that someone might get at Big5 or Walmart. Definitely not target rifles. Although we had fun, I believe that shooting a typical FT course with an off the shelf BBB could be discouraging for many. The 4x scope with duplex reticle is a limiting factor on the 1/2" close targets, as well as the 40mm far targets. For a BBB friendly course I would recommend using with plenty of full size 40mm targets at even closer distances, and maybe even some 2".
The low cost guns actually do their job well (plinking, pesting), but even 4moa is iffy. The 4x scope is probably the most typical scope on low cost break barrels. Upgraded rifles often come with 3-9x scopes which would help considerably with aiming, but won't improve the inherent accuracy.
-
Great job, Scott, with promoting low priced springers. I am attempting the promotion of piston shooters here in AZ. I was using my TX200 at BASF during the last part of 2015 and early this year. It is fun.
Since I got the stock built for my recently acquired D54 (in 12 fpe), I have been using that. I really enjoy the smooth way it shoots and only dropped 30 fps moving from our Phoenix range up to Mormon Lake. I am looking forward to shooting it at your match in August. We are talking that up a bit and seeing if we can't get some more of our guys to take that little trip over to SLO.
-
Is there a sub 30 fpe class?
-
Any gun *OVER* 20 ft lbs will damage the targets.
-
That's truly a bummer. You're in Ventura area? I'm in Simi Valley; hope I run into you at some point.
-
OK, but lets wait until the weather cools down. Yikes...

Sounds good. Give me a shout.

Is there a piston class in the end of Aug tournament?
OK.. Just looked on reg form.. Says piston class.. I'm making arrangements to be there.. Trying to wrangle up, not one, but two new shooters!
-
Overall trophies will be class-less.
We had a West Coast piston championship earlier in the year with overall trophies.
For the 2016 Western States match, piston specific classes and awards are limited to AAFTA classes if at least three in a class. Hunter/Piston is the best bet to have at least three competitors.
Any piston class with less than three will be consolidated with the PCP shooters in the corresponding AAFTA Division.

There are seven smaller monthly matches planned at the SLSBA range. Walk-ins welcome. There are also three off-site matches that John Bergquist is planning at his hilltop ranch. Best to make arrangements for a spot at those matches.
We are not doing the Western States match this year, but we will be hosting two championship style matches.
One championship match will be strictly an AAFTA GP match (AAFTA Divisions/Classes only). It will in April and will be smaller than the Western States GP match that we held in the past. It will be an opportunity for westerners to earn some AAFTA GP points.
http://www.slsba.org/airgun/MBGP-2017reg.htm (http://www.slsba.org/airgun/MBGP-2017reg.htm)
The second championship match will be a freestyle piston-only match and will takeover the August time slot of the prior years Western States match. We had a good turnout of piston only shooters in 2016 and we hope to make it even bigger in 2017:

Hello Sir!
This is Cameron Kerndt.
I've tried sending an email to scott (at) scotthull (dot) us and it isn't allowing me to send.
I see there are two (not likely to attend) shooters and my wife and I would like to come shoot this weekend. If there are two spots for rifle we would love to come down!
I know this is super late notice, but I figured I would ask!
Let me know so I can fill out the paperwork.
Thank you,
Cameron

Such a GREAT weekend for field target down near San Luis Obispo!!
Many, many thanks to Scott and Alan Hull for hosting a fun event, designing a challenging course and feeding us very well.
Prior to this event, I had only shot field target in the parched lands of NorCal. All your hard work routing lanes in, amidst and under live vegetation (!) was very much appreciated.
It felt like I had driven away from the set of Mad Max and arrived in Eden ... but better, because I had an air rifle and a majority of the folks I met were wearing pants.
Thanks,
Bob
-
John Bergquist ... are you still alive?
I shot with bucket and sticks and still managed to collect about a dozen chigger bites around my belt line.
John was shooting prone!
Did anyone actually see John leaving the event, or did the chigger brigade carry him away?
;D ;D ;D

;D ;D ;D
I managed to collect about 30+ bites distributed over my body. I was there for 4 days setting the courses and shooting. I spent considerable time in the fields. Ankles were not too bad as I doused them with Permethrin each day. I also sprayed around my waistline but some still got through. They seem to like tight spots between clothing and skin, or skin creases.
They are a nuisance, though not considered to be a disease vector in the USA.
I guess you need to spray all of your clothes and maybe even use Permethrin cream on covered skin.
This is pposite of what you'd think - loose fitting clothes will result in fewer bite. They don't go for open areas of skin. Maybe we should shoot naked. ;D
-
Maybe we should shoot naked. ;D
I was really hoping to attend this next year... BUT NOT NOW!!! ;D

I don't know what a "RAM" mount is but Vince said that he borrowed the idea from you.
Ram is a manufacturer who makes various types of mounts. This is a mount for a fish finder and it works quite well for a quick hamster. Very well priced too. I think Vince has the 1" ball socket, I wanted to try that but I went with the 1.5" for overkill.

LOL ... 10 point lead right out of the gate there Scott, smart very smart !!

I plan on shooting my Gauntlet PCP with a 24x scope. But no stability aids, so:
+1 [X] no laser range finder
+1 [ ] piston gun
+1 [ ] 12fpe or less
+1 [ ] scope at 16x or less
+1 [X] no monopod/bipod/tripod or sticks
+1 [X] no harness
+1 [X] no shooting jacket
+1 [X] seat 6” or less
+1 [X] no riser
+1 [X] no butt hook or thigh-pod
------------------------------
[ 7 ] total bonus points
I'll have +7 point handicap level. Assuming you want to keep all your typical Hunter Division aids (PCP/18fpe/sticks/bucket), you would have a +6 point handicap level. So not a 10 point lead. That's only a 1 point lead going in.

The only 12x dope that I still use is for my pistol :D. For 2018, my FT rifles (QB58 and Gauntlet) have 6-24x50 FFP scopes. 16x and 24x dope is the same for an FFP scope, though it does range better at 24x. I will shoot the QB58 some more later this year, but I'm working with the Gauntlet for the time being. Alan's going to try my QB58 for a couple of matches. With the QB58 and no aids, +10 points is possible.

Not a Sidewinder. I wanted a minimum 6-24x50 FFP scope with MOA/MOA (turret/reticle):
https://monstrumtactical.com/products/6-24x-first-focal-plane-rifle-scope-adjustable-objective-range-finder-reticle?variant=31061050051
I made 4" side wheels for them. They range good at 24x.

How was it at 16X?
Thanks!
-

Thanks!
I have not done a thourough test but: At 24x, seems about +/- 2yds for most far shots, +/- 3yds at 16x. For close shots +/- 1ft at 24x, +/- 1/2yd at 16x.
They have a 16x FFP mil/mil MOA on sale:
https://monstrumtactical.com/collections/deal-of-the-week/products/4-16x50-first-focal-plane-ffp-rifle-scope-with-mil-dot-reticle-and-adjustable-objective-lens?variant=3032109318184
It does not have the locking turrets like the model I got. The mil/mil is fine for 16x and lower magnification. I prefer MOA/MOA for 16x and higher magnification.
Edit: I looked again at that sale priced16x scope. It appearso be a mil/MOA (reticle/turret). It might be a good scope for the money, but I prefer the 24x.
-
+/- 3 yds for the long distance shots is pretty darn good for 16X.
-
+/- 3 yds for the long distance shots is pretty darn good for 16X.
FYI, this 6-24x50 scope does not have a 16x mark. It has a 15x mark. The magnification marks on scopes can be way off. Fortunately, when set to the 15x mark, the FOV measurement indicates that my scope is actually running at 16x+ magnification. For performance purposes, the actual magnification is what counts.

The 2018 West Coast AAFTA/WFTF Trials is less than two weeks away.
This will be an AAFTA GP match, though likely smaller than we have had for past GP matches. We have enough pre-registered to make it an AAFTA GP match. We have a few other competitors that have paid and will be coming as well, but not sure in which classes they will shoot in. Everyone will be able to shoot for AAFTA GP points in their particular AAFTA class. But for this match, trophy awards will be consolidated as follows:
Hunter - All Hunter pre-charge - 1st thru 3rd place awards (7 confirmed)
PCP - All other pre-charge - 1st thru 3rd place awards (5 confirmed)
Springer - All piston guns - 1st thru 3rd place awards (6 confirmed)
Pistol - Combined Hunter and Limited - 1st thru 3rd place awards (6 confirmed)
The pistol match will be at the high end of allowable difficulty (36T). Smallest targets will be 15mm. The pistol match will be shot in an open field with full wind exposure. It will be shot on Friday afternoon, so winds are expected.
Though any Division/Class shooting style is allowed at the match, the rifle course itself will comply with all WFTF requirements and will be at the low end of required difficulty (28T). There will be 25 lanes and 50 targets. One shot per target. There will be 12 or fewer reduced targets (15mm and/or 25mm), and the rest 40mm. There will be 19 targets over 40 yards, most of them with full wind exposure.
Registration form:

We have room for more competitors so additional registrations will be accepted on match day.

@KERNTDC - My uncle, Michael Sprouse, lives in Galt. Wonder if you know him....
Unfortunately I don't know any Michael's with that last name. It's a nice town, a lot of country homes with enough property to shoot Airguns!
Is he into the hobby?
-
Naw, he is in his 70's now and probably just living the retirement life...

The West Coast WFTF Trials/AAFTA GP match Aug 17 to 19 was a great time. I really enjoyed spending a few days in SLO. Here is a video of my trip! I encourage anyone to attend this event, great for newcomers to field target.

Dana,
It was great to see you once more in the realm of FT competition. The Morro Bay experience is one of open ground to brush shielded cover that gives you the illusion the winds not blowing hard as it is & effecting your pellets flight as much as it does, yet in reality the ratio of targets you can actually knock down with some wind doping is quite an eye opener.
This venue on the southern California coast is very unique among what we generally shoot and a great place to improve ones skills in getting a handle on shifting winds and open range shooting.
Great bit of video giving a taste of the area and the game of FT.

Thanks my friend, was great to see you too and appreciated our long range fun the other night. Lol

MAN, that was a fun weekend!
Many, many thanks to Scott, Alan, Bob and the entire crew for all their work.
Scott, that course was a real brain-twister.
And I got to shoot alongside Vince Pacheco.
YES. THAT Vince Pacheco!!
Bob K
PS: My lasting memory from the weekend will be the sound of the yellow plastic caution tape fence SCREAMING in the wind as I used all fingers and toes to calculate a correction.
-
Vince is cooler than Steve McQueen. But that Motörhead guy is tougher than Chuck Norris on a FT course.

HAA! Exactly, Terry.
Hey, it was great to see you. Thanks for holding me a spot at dinner.
Good Shooting!!

LOL ..
What more could one want for the weekends weather having left Nor cal in 100* + to have it in the 70's for 3 days ... That alone was worth the near 700 mile trip.
Scott Hull really did set up a difficult course having those bottom 12 lanes in "Round House" format with a change in wind direction at every position change ... evil I tell ya ... just evil ;D ;D
The California field target scene just has the nicest bunch of guys & gals with everyone getting along !! .... Great week end 8)

It looks like you all had TOO MUCH fun last weekend. Great shooting by all. I wish I could have been there. I'll try harder to make it next year! ;D
-
Looking at the pictures, video and match summary, I can't help but be in awe of the effort and work that went into this event! The Morro Bay Club is an inspiration- the quality of the match was superb!
I felt that I was reading a review of a fine dining experience, one that you had to be there to enjoy, and will regret missing- I regret missing this event!
Keep up the great work -> this event will provide dividends for the shooters and match planners in the future!
-
Mark and Martin, it really was a great weekend. You guys would definitely enjoy a match with the San Luis Obispo gents.
I mean, DUDE ... they had a smartly-dressed waiter walking down the sight-in line serving grilled linguica bites with mustard!!

If weather is good enough, but only two or three people show, we won't set the course but can have two hours of practice.

Thank you Scott for a great match. We really appreciate all the hard work you do to put these matches on. The Morro Bay matches have become the west coast standard for what a well run FT match looks like. We plan on maintaining the same great standard when The Sacramento Valley Field Target Club hosts the California State Field Target Championship at Morro Bay, Sept 13-15, 2019. Same fantastic location, brand new FT course. Registration and Match information will be available soon. Mark your calendars now!

I spent another few hours mowing and weed whacking today. The 15 regular lanes are clear again. They are ready for a match. No resume schedule yet.
