HAd hoped to hear back about that one....seems like it is making expectations.
would the barrel happen to be about 19" 9/16 diam from a XL 725..? thats what I used for my 1325 pumper...20g FTT did well out of it at just about 650 fps...
Looks like it's shaping up to be a good little carbine Ed! Those crow magnums will open up on you past 25 or so, but if they group that good at 20, I pity the critter that gets hit with them!

These Stormriders are becoming my favorite guns. I just need a regulator for the .177 and then add a regulated 22 to the stable and I'll be set.

Had a gen 1 with the sticky bolt issues and sent it back. The gen 2 has been around long enough and has so much positive feedback I need to grab one before they go even further up in price. Already $220, up 20 bucks from a month or so ago.

I've really thought about getting another if the price is right.
Did (do) a lot of low velocity/lower energy .25 shooting and short range hunting. Mostly two rifles, one at 620fps and one at 500fps using 25.4 JSB’s.The higher BC of those JSB’s really start to be seen, even at low speeds and the SHORT RANGE trajectory isn’t as bad as some people like to pretend. Can understand why non FAC UK shooters stay away from .25...using those JSB pellets, would have a muzzle velocity of about 455 fps to be sure to stay under 12 foot pounds.Simple sight in (scoped rifles, but a low scope center 1.5” over bore line). The 620fps rifle set to ½” high at 20 yards will be about ¾” low at 35 yards (and still making about 17 foot pounds). Squirrel hunting never gets the cross hair off of fur...a little low, a little high, but but still cross hairs on fur. If you hold a bit of “air” over, can go to 40yards.The 500fps rifle can’t do that. ½” high at 15 yards puts it about 1” low at 30 (and about 11 1/2 foot pounds). That's enough power, trajectory is kind of loopy past 25 yards.
