We get so old we can’t hold our 10M rifles and pistols steady (like yours truly) unsupported, there is a shooting regiment designed to allow us to continue to compete.
I believe this practice is in use at The Villages in Florida (They have their own zip code).

The rest cannot provide any lateral support so I made a gizmo for my tripod:

Very interesting. I'm soon to be 76 and I can sure relate to the steadiness problem. I will have to look into making just such an attachment for my tripod. I would do it mostly in my back yard as a personal competition. I have to wonder though about just how available competitions would be if someone were interested. Maybe postal matches?

Bill,
I know they have year round competitions for us old shooters at The Villages.
That is the only senior living facility that does as far as I know.
Here in the SF Bay Area we hold indoor 10M air matches during winter and early spring months.
When I visited my son in Mesa, AZ a few years ago the range there has a very active indoor program.
We hav the matches here on the GTA and on the CAPOF.
As long as you describe the shooting stance/position you are using, I am sure Scott will allow a separate category.
