Just read a lot of posts that list the P17 as their favorite cheap airgun. Is there any way to make them easier to cock? At 77 I find it really tough to cock. Will gloves help? Thanks, Dave B

I have two P17. One I bought and one my friend Earl gave me. Also have an XS clone comes with an exrta barrel in .22. The .22 barrel is in another clone, a Stoeger XP4. With it's .177 barrel the Xp4 out shoots the others. Accurate but hard to cock and only single shot.Co2 might be more to your liking. The Crosman Vigilante or Triple Threat revolvers come to mind but there are plenty of others. The latter come with three barrel, 8", 6" and 4". You can put a scope or red dot sight on the Vigilante. I have a pistol scope on mine with a single scope ring with a 4 screw top strap. 10 shot rotary pellet mag. or 6 shot bb mag., rifled barrel, single and double action and adjustable sights.Pyramyd and Air Gun Depot are out of the pellet mags. but Amazon and Ebay have them.
