Paul, great tip, thanks!! Wow, what a price drop! 😄 If this scope had a 10y parallax, I would have had no option but to accuse you in front of my wife of planning my financial demise. Alas, the domestic catastrophe was averted by Vortex's continued refusal to acknowlege airgunning as worthy of their scopes.... Another day of peace in paradise....! Matthias Thanks, again, Paul, I honestly do appreciate those kind of posts. 👍🏼
I think the Sightron S-Tac (Philippine made), which is on sale for $299 shipped, is better than this Chinese Vortex.
I refuse to buy from optics planet. I ordered a bunch of pellets from them that said they were in stock and never received a shipping notice. Checked my order status and all my items said scheduled to be delivered xxxx date, and that date kept rolling over everyday. I canceled my order and it was almost an immediate refund, like they have to do this all the time.Google optics planet reviews and you'll see I'm not the only one who's went through this.

Doesn't beat $300 w/ free ship though! This whole thread got me almost buying this one, which seems like a fantastic deal, but my research led me to a better choice for me -- Aimsports Alpha 6, which got very good reviews here a while back: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=186044.0https://www.opticsplanet.com/aim-sports-inc-alpha-6-4-5-27x50-30mm-riflescope-with-mr1-mrad-reticle.html
I'm not too sure about Aim Sports', but Vortex's warranty is exemplary though.Oh, nothing against Vortex; it's just that I am not partial to their made in China models.
The Vortex isn't really "on sale" either -- it's been about $330-350 for 3 years now, so was way overpriced at MSRP $699. Still appears to be a very good scope at a decent price, from a great company, but this isn't the once in a lifetime get a scope you never thought you could afford for half price type deal.

They even cover owner stupidity! Aim Sports I can't say -- just a lifetime, original defect, blah blah blah, warranty. I'm rolling the dice there. The Vortex isn't really "on sale" either -- it's been about $330-350 for 3 years now, so was way overpriced at MSRP $699. LOL! So true, and their cost from China was probably around $75 each! Oh well, I was looking for a decent scope for under $400, they claimed it was on sale for 51% off and I thought I had found a bargain! I guess I'll see when it gets here. Optic planet claims they have easy returns, so if it's not what I'm hoping for, I guess I'll test that claim too!

I ordered from them Wednesday, and all they claim is "Packed" and "Shipping label created" ... somehow getting it into USPS' hands has eluded them for two and a half days now! Thx.
