Japanese "Indian" Brand S-450 Spring

I have had an Indian S-450 since 1989. I bought it at the Sportsman Club on Yokota Air Base. I shot it as my main airgun until 2012 when I finally got an HW-50S. After all those years of shooting the small sping in it is very tired.
Does anyone have a spring for such a gun. It is only about 15mm in diameter so very few modern springs will fit. The usual sources of Rebuild kits have nothing in that size. I would really appreciate some help with this.

When you say 15 mm in diameter, do you mean outside diameter? I guess so, since a 15 mm inside diameter would not be out of ordinary. But the OD of a spring is not nearly as important as the ID of it, as the rear guide of a gun fits only one spring ID, but the piston (where the other end of the spring goes) fits many different spring OD's, up to a point.
The smallest-ID mainspring I know of is the Cometa 400 mainspring, which is around 12.4 mm in ID. That's smaller than even a D25 mainspring. But even the Cometas are well over 15 mm in OD; my Cometa springs are FAC (nominal 28J) springs, so they have thicker wire than some weaker options.
Maybe a Cometa mainspring for the heavily restricted markets (Germany, Italy etc.) would fit the bill as the smallest-diameter spring available?

Thank you for your reply.
I dug out my measurements of my Indian spring. The OD is .59 inch which is close to 15 mm. The ID was harder to measure, but it was about .375 inch or about 9.5 mm. Wire diameter is about .109 inch. There are 40 turns for an overall length of 8.625 inches.
One guy several years ago suggested a Diana 16 or 23 spring. The D16 spring seemed to be a bit light (wire día. of .09 inch) and short a bit under 8 inches. The D23 spring seemed a bit to large at .655 inch OD. However, the wire diameter was .10 and ID was .40 inch. Length with 32 turns was 8.6 inches. Almost perfect. I just wonder about the OD fit in the piston.
I wish I could borrow a D23 spring to see if it fit.
Thanks again,
Steve

Maybe something from an old springer pistol. I've got an old Arrow Japanese springer. It's small like a kid's gun.

Tim,
Thanks for the thought. I think the Diana 23 spring may be a possibility. I will tear down the Indian and measure the ID of the piston. I may even order the spring from Chambers in the UK.
Thanks again,
Steve
