One was in the Bandit other in my stormrider.
does not the gen2 come with regulator from factory?

I should mention that I don't own a single pcp with a regulator so this is all new territory for me.So no bottom gauge at all? Have you ever taken it all the way apart? What is done to close up the hole on the bottom of the tube where a pressure gauge would normally be? I have no idea what the inside of the G2 guns with no bottom gauge is like. I assume the valve is the same, but I'm very curious about the bottom tube hole. My ONLY experience with regulated guns is with the PR900 and PP800. My only other PCP's are an Eagle Claw and AEA .45 Challenger 'pup. It's been awhile since I've had it apart, but I don't remember seeing a gauge hole. I could be wrong though.I need one of those tubes! Would make my life much easier. I still think you will get the most peak power with an Altaros reg compared to the Huma (or Lane which requires a hole). Since you have no hole, it will be very easy to make plenty of regulated power. Just get an Altaros reg and cut PVC pipe to length until you get the ideal plenum volume for your hammer strike, reg setting, and desired power. Unregulated the platform makes peak power at 165-170b, so the hammer spring is designed to open the valve at those pressures. It's a bit too much spring when you add a regulator, so you may be able to figure out a weaker spring or cut coils (I would get a spare spring from Wes first). I built a regulated .177 Bandit/Stormrider hybrid using a .177 Chaser rifle barrel that made 20 FPE, but my valve was shifted back a bit due to some mistakes I made.

Do you know what plenum dimensions would be best?
I would like at least 15 fpe so I'll start a little long and work down. Have you checked with Wes at Airgun Archery Fun? If anyone could get a tube, I would guess he could.
I've got a Crosman 2250 that I'm running a 850 psi regged 13 ci tank on. It gets a ton of shots with a cut down hammer spring. I need to chronograph it again and see what speeds I'm getting, but it's a fantastic plinker.

If anyone could get a tube, I would guess he could. He might have them now with the new shipment as well. 15 FPE doesn't need much plenum, maybe just a 1/2" tall spacer would do it. You can probably hit your power goals with the "softer" hammer spring from a Chaser/CP2, maybe even without shimming depending on reg setting. The factory hammer spring is designed to open the valve with 165b of air pressure behind it, so at 150b (max setting on the Altaros) the factory hammer spring is a bit too much. The CP2 hammer spring is meant for 850-ish PSI from CO2, but I find it works well with HPA at 100b on the reg, or as low as it goes.
I find the light spring actually does makes peak power right at 850 PSI, but there's not really much air left in the tank at those pressures and you only get a few shots, at least with a Bandito. I've been daydreaming about buying a Chaser/CP2 and putting a bottle adapter on it and running a 13ci Tipmann bottle and reg. In this hypothetically build I would eventually get an adjustable Ninja reg for fine tuning to certain ammo. If I had the skills I would make it into a BP platform and probably never shoot my Stormrider or Bandito again.

Post what your speeds are, for each shot, from full till your velocity starts to drop. Then I can give you some advice for tuning. I can also tell you if the gun is regulated or not. Aslo, I read the thread you posted and looked at a Snowpeak factory order link. I think that's a typo in the description showing a factory regulated gun, just like how the listing says the front sight is metal despite clearly being plastic. The G1 had a moderator with integrated front sight post. I think "factory regulated" means the dealer installed the regulator, just like I bought a "regulated PR900" from a vendor which was just a PR900 tube, CR600w action, barrel, stock, Lane regulator, and then assembled. I would bet many of these air guns are delivered to vendors unassembled. Many of these guns are "made to order" for specific vendors and specific labeling.

I would love to see the setup if you ever take it out to adjust it. Maybe they are using the PP750 setup.

Maybe it's just me, but the PP700/750 look way too long to be a comfortable pistol. The PP700 is more interesting to me between the two, but I am not in the market for another PCP any time soon.
