1. Are Diana barrels made in China?2. Stoegers are made in China and our Gun shop down the road just sent its whole stock of them back to the importer because they were so bad.3. Conclusion?
I have made a written complaint to the dealer who has reported to the importer. I suggested in order of my preference:1. Replace barrel and breach block.2 .replace the rifle3. Refund my money.. They chose to refund so that tells me something about supply Now I have to do the whole chosing and purchase thing again. Maybe I should spend the money on whiskey and go to heaven. NA I want a nice air rifle and worry about heaven later.
There is no restriction in New Zealand to importing spring piston guns. Not so for pcps for addled reasoning that I won't talk about.I looked at the Pyramidair site and a Diana 34EMS at $380US becomes $902 NZ with freight and the exchange rate. That could become about $1050 if NZCustoms decide to apply GST at the border. I had a kind American buy me a GRT trigger and send it to me. A 35 or 40 $US trigger ended up about $130NZ. That was worth it to me at the time. But $$1000 makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. Especially with no practical warranty.I had a look at Krale but they do not have them 34EMS in stock and the Customair site went wobbly on me but I guess the prices will be roughly similar . Anyway Hector, you have seen Tane Mahuta and that is as special as Pounamu.
