Are you looking for a regulated air rifle with an adjustable stock? Are you partial to 16J/11.8 FPE or do you want more power?Crosman custom shop has a regulated Marauder available for $650 with adjustable cheek piece.crosman.com/custom-shop/You can still get the 10m version of the AR20 and get the 16J kit. It is just unscrewing the brass regulator and replacing the hammer spring. Full disassembly is required.
The two FT clubs near me have 20Fpe limitations. I have a .22 M-rod and I've had really bad luck with the accuracy, and I don't want another M-rod.What's your experience with the AR20FT? Is the lower power a big issue?
The AR20FT is an accurate and precise rifle once you free float the barrel. The aluminum barrel cover and fore end rail can change the point of impact when enough pressure is applied to it when kneeling and standing. My AR20FT is shooting at 11.2 FPE and I have no problem being competitive against 18-19 FPE rifles. But that has to do with lots of practice in the wind and going to many different venues. As for the M-Rod, I have heard of many accuracy issues with the .22 caliber version. Many field target shooters use the .177 caliber version with good success with a regulator installed.
Thanks for the detailed info. Any instructions on how to float the barrel or it is straightforward enough that there's no need for one?
