looks super robust , takes the mrod mag... I'm sure it will handle whatever is thrown at it..

If there's a weak point I'd say the cast lever would be it. It's reversible and that's good.

yes, for not much more than a BNM and a sidelever, its actually very fairly priced

If I had another project, I'd pick one up- but I already have a Russian breech... Dang it!!
Side note: The Russian machinist is now making Mrod side-lever breeches as well... Same price- $230... food for thought.
Maybe the Thai machinist will make some soon-ish as well... ;D

I ordered and received my Thailand breech. It's quite good. I also think the lever is not cast. (Could be wrong)It is steel and looks to be cut out with water jet. (Inside cutouts on some areas you can see the vertical cut lines) . Shipping was incredible... 10 days to my door. It truly does cock the heavy springs with ease. I do much prefer the tactical look of the bnm with piccatinney. It's delivered unassembled with black tape covering the words. I also ordered at a later date his adjustable reg.

That's good if it's not cast- but any time there are lines and grooves and such in a stressed part, that's an invitation to cracking. I'm not saying this lever will crack, only that lines and such are not desirable. If it were me, I'd detail it to remove anything that looked like it could propagate a crack. It's a throwback to when I used to spend hours detailing forged SBC rods before having them shotpeened. Probably unnecessary given the power levels I was dealing with, but then again I never lost an engine to a rod breaking. The lines I'm speaking of are tooling marks on the edges from a water jet perhaps that weren't ground down. No stress cracking...from these anyway.

I guess we should also factory how little load the sidelever will ever see. after all , its a small bore breech.

Going to try the Thai rig, .25 multi-shot breech, valvebody etc for a 2240 mrod'd on a 24" or more barrel, shroud etc. Might use a different regulator and plumbing setup though as I want to run a bit larger bottle in the stock area.
Side lever will be wicked and I can look at making it electrically operated in future. As much as I like a good trigger pull, a button is far easier to have a repeatable hold and action with at all angles when hunting.
