Have you tried them? Accuracy?Tight groups,BobI vaguely remember reading this. Going to try it now.Well, yes they load just like BBs do BUT... the paper looks like a shotgun hit it. 4-6 inch spread at 50' with mine.Threw 30 or so more white label Winnies through it to check and they are 1/2" or better. Tried the H&N Exite cheapy frying pans. Not too bad but not as good as the Winnies. I'm not going to try any other pellets that are more expensive in case they shoot better.OH, and the loading ramp really stinks!! Way too many flip or flop and wont chamber. UGGHH

Have fun tinkering with your new 880. As mentioned before there are a LOT of mods mentioned here on GTA. Thanks Marty... 'cause I don't already have 9 or ten others that I cannot leave alone. My recommendation would be to purchase one of the earlier all metal (for the exception of the stock & clam shell forearm) 880's. I have the '71 model. The only mod I did to it was modifying the trigger. Not because it needed it but because I was familiar with this mod & liked the results. I would be surprised if the pull is more than a pound. The other thing you will notice immediately is it weighs a LOT more than the plastic version. Needless to say the balance is much better. All in all it is one of my most accurate guns & a joy to shoot.
I still have my Ted Williams Daisy 880 with the gold side plates that my parents bought me in the seventies, I have been looking for someone to send it to to have it completely refurbished, I’m not talk using spray paint cans but actually properly painted or powder coated, Also does anyone know if the non Ted Williams 880’s from the same era have the same parts that could be transferred. I’m asking because if I find a like new one I would buy it just to use the parts. If anyone knows of someone that does this sort of work I would appreciate any info, Thanks
