That's some good shooting! These guns are surprising though, and they tend to make fans of their owners. I know I am.
Welcome to the club congrats!

I read in one of the PA reviews that the 880 can load .177 lead balls from the BB magazine. Have you tried them? Accuracy?Tight groups,Bob
Never shot an 880 but bought a refurb for $29 from Field Supply a few weeks ago. played around with it with the iron sights but i really need some magnification. So i hung a kit scope I had on the shelf just 4 x 32 but I shot it from the bench today. Holy Mackerel! At 50' and 6 pumps with Winchester domes in the white label can (not the good ones) - 1/2" groups! HAH! $30 refurb, a cheap scope and lousy pellets. 1/2" at 50' I'm really impressed. Yup the trigger is heavy, the cocking lever is noisy when it lands in its slot, I already removed the retaining spring, but otherwise is unmolested.

I'm shooting POS Beeman Pointed 8.5gr pellets and hitting everything I'm shooting at in the 25-30 yard zone. I'm waiting for spring and the flowers to blossom so I can go bug shooting.I have been ignoring my 880's the last few weeks as I'm on a Benjamin 392 kick right now ;- ), but with me things go full circle .... Slingshots, Bass Fishing, Ham Radios, Blowguns, Powerful PCP Airguns, Catfish fishing, Regular Airguns and then the circle continues ;- ) Women used to be in the mix but at my age, things have calmed down a bit, if you know what I mean !wll

Going to try it now.Well, yes they load just like BBs do BUT... the paper looks like a shotgun hit it. 4-6 inch spread at 50' with mine.Threw 30 or so more white label Winnies through it to check and they are 1/2" or better. Tried the H&N Exite cheapy frying pans. Not too bad but not as good as the Winnies. I'm not going to try any other pellets that are more expensive in case they shoot better.OH, and the loading ramp really stinks!! Way too many flip or flop and wont chamber. UGGHH
