Touch-up paint & bluing

  Quite often, I find myself in need of touch-up paint for screw heads, bluing , trigger guards, etc. I live in a rural area & there are hardly any places to shop. I was in a " Dollar General "store  & saw that they had a display of finger-nail polish for 85 cents ! I picked up a bottle of the gloss black & it works perfectly. They also had dark blue & purple. One coat on the screw heads & those looked great. I use a dab on the threads to help lock the screws in place, as well. It blended in nicely with the scratched bluing on a couple of cheaper rifles, too.

Thanks for that info, same as me, 50-100 mile drive to find any thing,
but we now have a dollar store, will check them out.

Around here, if you are on the sidewalks after dark, you get rolled up with them,
and then around, sunup you are released......LOL
