Ive got 2 of them and they make a fine pistol scope or used in a scout mount...but useless for rifle/carbine because of the eye relief....good luck
I've got one that I originally ordered when I bought my Prod but decided to use my Prod for a carbine and now it's got the Bugbuster on it. I'm presently using the scope on my Airmax MKII (in my signature) and it's a ok pistol scope, haven't really had any problems with it but now that I've finally gotten more use to pistol scopes with it I'm ready for a good Simmons.
I just received a 2300kt with that scope option. Scope works well, eye relief is sufficient, I bought it for exactly for the same reason, learning how to use a pistol scope. It does take a bit to get used to even the 2x magnification if you are shooting unsupported. It is well worth the 20 bucks through CCS.
If this is meant to be a target/plinking pistol, one thing you might consider is to add a power adjuster. I use the one from Mellon Air. It is low cost ($10 + reasonable shipping) and lets you dial down the power. In the picture below the adjuster is the aluminum piece in the upper left, an easy install with two screws.
Hopefully I won't become a "Mod Maniac"
