The 77 comes new with a scope way better than the 880, 760, 2100,66, Airmaster 77 etc. The 77 is a 4x32, instead of the nasty 4x15 those other guns come with. A 4x32 is going to give a much brighter view than a 4x15. The objective lens is over twice as big. Even if it's a cheapo, so is the 4x15. And, despite what some have said, I have decent service from the Centerpoint 4x32's that I have. And, with those, you can adjust the objective lens for a sharp picture at whatever distance you want to shoot at. Remove front most ring on scope. Turn inner ring, which is an adjuster, until target is as sharp as possible, and reinstall the front locking ring you removed. I set mine for 11 yards. The scope on the Winchester has that same ring, so I think one would be able to do this on that scope too.
I just tried to order this online. Declined ! My FOID card is not on file with Midway USA. I told the live chat fellow (Don) that .177 cal was exempt in IL. His reply was to ask my legislators about that! What a turkey..... Dave
So my Winchester 77's came in and I must say that this rifle blows pretty bad. It feels more like a toy than anything I've picked up so far. Its very light and small and seems like a really cheap version of my Daisy 880! Yeah that bad. Besides the feel of the gun and its cheap feeling it had no power at all. I believe the 2 I ordered did not get serviced properly when they reconditioned it. 10 pumps put out as much power as 3 pumps on the 880 on both of the 77's I got. So very dissapointed but glad I did not pay that much. My daughter 12 years old hates it and prefers the 88o by far. The 880 is just a better overall gun no comparison. No scope was included if anybody is wondering(not that it matters). Will try to return for refund. I thought this gun was built on the 880 platform but just an upgraded version. The opposite is true Not worth $20
