I will take that into consideration. What type of spring and seal did you get and why?
Members I need your opinion, your experience and options of tunes that apply to Pro Sports. Basically I would love to get my prosport tuned or at least a good thorough through by someone who is very experienced and knowledgeable in that field. Now I do not want a 12 FPE prosport I would like to keep the same factory power or maybe just a little bit less or a little bit more but I want what Pro Sport owners have experienced or are experiencing now with a smooth shot cycle, repeatability of power and accuracy (so as long as I do my part). I would like to have the right lubes applied/used (krytok, I think that's how it's spelled) after market breach and piston seals from JM or vortek, as well as one of their springs or their kits. So tell me what do you have, what are the pros and cons of the choices and so forth. I am just trying to see what is available and what route I should take and with whom.

In my view, all improve your shot cycle in different ways and tunes are money well spent. I sent some of my guns out for full pro tune and was very pleased with the results. I've also tuned some myself with drop in kits from Vortek and JM and had good outcomes. The full pro tune route is more expensive, but I'd do it again without hesitation. From my experience, drop in kits are about 30%-50% the price of a full pro tune.If you enjoy tinkering and want to understand springers better, then I'd suggest a full power drop in kit from Vortek or JM, given your objectives. If you want minimal hassle and a gun expertly tuned to your exact specifications, then go the pro tune route. Good luck choosing.R
Give Tom Gore a call at Vortek. He helped me to tune my TX200 to 13.2 fpe. The shot cycle is real short and smooth with little recoil. There is enough power to throw H&N Sniper 8.5gr pellets (my favorite pellet with a great ballistic coefficient of 0.029) at 840 fps.I originally bought a Vortek 12 FPE kit for my Tx200. It worked OK, but after the spring settled in, the power was only 10.5 fpe. With one spacer installed (the max I could put in), I still was getting only 11 fpe. I called Tom at Vortek (very knowledgeable and customer oriented), who sold me a custom 13 fpe spring. It was easy for me to take the old Vortek spring out of the guide. Once I installed the new 13 fpe spring, the gun shoots perfectly.I'm not sure what your power is in your Prosport, and what power you want, but for reference my TX200 had 15-16 fpe stock, depending on the pellet I used with a fairly harsh shot cycle and heavy recoil. After the tune with the custom spring, it has 13.2 fpe with Snipers, which is perfect in my TX.Hope this helps.
Hello my friend a fellow prosport shooter, here is my experience with tune kits, 1. Vortek sho2 kit which was an excellent kit but lasted only a year - Tom wouldn't answer my emails, because i am probably from abroad (Mongolia), only asking which replacement spring to order. 2. Sub 12 Fp , 22mm compression conversion kit with skirtless piston from UK. - While it took away the recoil completely i missed the power the gun used to generate so took this out. 3. Currently happily twanging away with stock spring as it came from US minus the tophat. From my experience Vortek was excellent while it lasted but you could put some delrin guides and tophat from UK (tinbum kit i think) and be happy. Note: all the kits and stock spring were equal in accuracy Hope this helps
