I know how it feels. I shoot HFT with my TX200. Here is some advice that I learned the hard way (and continue to learn again at each match):1. Don't worry about placing, or even about coming in last place. Instead, focus on each target and have fun knocking them down.2. Don't second guess your equipment. Your Prosport and Hawke scope are a great combo. Trust them to do the job.3. Don't compare your equipment with others. I have made this mistake every time. I am the only one who shoots a springer in HFT at my local AG club. Everyone else shoots a high end PCP. I just tell myself that I am a division of one. That way I come in first and last place in my divsion at the same time. 3. Make sure that the scope is zeroed before the match begins.4. Know the effects of wind. I tend to overcompensate for wind. Watch down range for conditions. Listen to the leaves in the tree. Wind will tend to hit the tree tops before the ground levels are affected.5. If your scope has an illuminated reticle, use it. Cross hairs and mildots tend to disappear when your target is in the shade.6. If you miss a target, stop for 15 seconds and do what is necessary to relieve the stress. I usually sing a little song to my gun...7. Enjoy the fellowship with other FT shooters, and try to learn from them after the match.
3rd: My stock is cracked from to much torque on the screw that is at the front of the trigger guard. I applied some glue with a small paint brush and kept on trying to push/brush it into the crack. So far, it (the crack) doesn't seem to have affected the accuracy but I still want another stock. ***Nitrocrushr*** if and when possible, please send me some pics of what you have done. And my apologies for not talking to/with you when you had the time. But I would love to talk ASAP, lol.
Thanks. My crack is vertical as to yours which is horizontal. Do you think that the washers would still be beneficial?
So, did you win, lose, get hooked, or run away scared?
