Wow so many, it is hard to narrow it down Mrod and Prod are high on the list that Contour G6 looks like a nice rifle
With the Marauder line, you'll be fine with a typical 3000psi aluminum scuba tank. I got mine, brand new 80cf, off Amazon for about $160shipped. Dive shops have used ones, regularly, for sub $100.
There's no more fun or versatile rifle out there then a Sumatra carbine, under 600 bucks from Pyramyd after 10% discount so enough left to buy a LDC.the external power wheel can be taken to minimum and you have a ton of plinking shots with even the cheap 14.3gr pellets ( this gun shoots just about everything well, Small game hunting ? .....power up a bit, pick your favorite hollowpoint and lay waste I little bigger tougher game ? ....up the power a bit, pick the appropriate pellet and show them who's boss One day you wanna go for real big tough game like a big boar hog ?.....MAX the power, get the heavy pellets and be confident of your coming success. Is the Sumatra the best or more refined PCP out there ?....Course not, but it's a proven, reliable, rugged gun and is unmatched in the wide spectrum it's able to cover.

I know you can put 2000psi in the gun and stiff shoot it but wont get many shots. 3000 psi to 2500 psi before you refill the scuba?I fill to 3200 usually and my tank needs to be at least 100 psi over that to open the valve. So if I had a 3000 psi scuba tank that is what I consider empty. Then I can fill my maximus from 3000 psi down to 2000 psi (like 80 times). That scuba option is great for the Maximus (2000 psi gun) but might be ok with maurader if you under-fill it to 2600. But you can underfil any gun. Thing is they don't usually list how many shots you get starting from a under-fill. Makes it harder to compare the guns.
xraycernice looking setup
Lots of great info on this post. I am in the same position for a first pcp and I am confident I'm going to get a marauder but I have concerns about both the 22 and 25 and can't seem to make a decision. I can't say for sure if I'm going to be mainly hunting or plinking with this gun hopefully both. The issue with the .22 for me is the problems with the barrel in the past and possibly getting a bad one. I love the versatility of the .22 though. My main hang up with the .25 is the shots per fill. The accuracy and extra power would be nice I hear it's great. I am for sure going to be filling either of these guns with a 4500 psi tank. Since I'm using a tank maybe the shots per fill aren't as big as deal but I'm just not sure if I'll be shooting this gun for target practice a ton or just hunting. Shooting at my house is only about 16 yards and wit either of these guns that might get boring quick. It's when I go to our cabin is when I shoot at longer distances and hunt more.Am I exaggerating either of these points regarding the 22 barrel or the .25 cal shots per fill? Looking forward to hearing from you more experienced pcp owners Thanks
