Discussion for a .30 cal "plinker" at NOE, no reason it could not be designed to cover our slightly undersized bores....

Post in the thread if you are interested in it....

I am new to big bore air guns but I am awaiting my custom .30 caliber Hatsan BT65 that will be tuned by Baxter. Do you think that heavy of a pellet would be good for that rifle, my plans are to use for plinking and occasional hunting.... What are your thoughts?

First of all, these are bullets, not pellets, they are not designed with an expanding skirt.... That means that the fit in the bore is critical to accuracy, they are not as forgiving as pellets.... To use these effectively you will need a .30 cal capable of about 140-180 FPE....

Thanks for the notice, Bob. Have you got any significant evidence of plain based boolits flying well? IME, only the gas checked ones have a well formed, undisturbed feature( the last drive band ) not effected by casting imperfections leaving the crown.
cheers,
Douglas

I have luck with PB bullet. Corsair .308 Likes very much RCBS 82061 .32-98-SWC mold. Yes it need some sizing but thats not problem...
Altought LYman# 311559 115gr SPGC works also well so my mind only testing will tell which works or not... both could work very well..
And sizing base up first so there is any skirt etc. on base
