Mildot scopes , I just took three of my PCP rifles out back to my 25 yard target range RS II .22 , Marauder .30 and R10 .22 all 3 are sighted for ten yards in my basement man cave. all three rifles were hitting 2 mils high at 25 yards all are also ~900 fps. My question is is it safe to assume that at somewhere between 30 and 50 yards I should be at zero again. I will report back with my actual results tomorrow night when I get back from the Brookhaven range. My actual intent is to see what the Marauder .30 can do at 100 yards
You are probably correct the light was failing and I was not using illuminated reticles so not 100% sure it was 2 mil high at 25 yards it would have been more accurate to say approximately. I think 12x magnification that way I can see the pellet holes in the paper easier my 70 year old eyes do not see as well as they did 50 years ago
Don,If you zero for 25-27 yards...you will never hold under.I zero my .177 Marauder at 25 (cause I don't have 27, or I would).
Why would you not set your apogee to the zero and calculate from there?
