I'm a big fan of the Vector Optics scopes. I've purchased several. The one review I've read here, was back in February. It seems to me the individual might have gotten a returned/refurbished scope. He indicated that the scope was wrapped in bubble wrap and little else. There were issues mechanical and such as well. This is not my experience with Vector Optics at all.
After looking at both, minor details aside, I think the Vector is the equal in every way, to the Primary Arms offerings. My main experience is with the Vector Optics Counterpunch 6-25x56 Tactical First Focal Plane Scope with the MPS etched reticle.
I can only compare it to my one other FFP 4X24 scope, a Vortex Viper, that I paid about $800 for. They both do the box test easily, the clicks are sharp and have good tactal feel on the Vortex, not so much with the Vector. Do you really expect to need those sharp clicks in the rain, at night ? Optically, the Counter Punch is bright, clear, and probably 97% overall, as good as the $800 scope. Five years ago it sold for $225. They are a little more costly today.
I have just purchased a Vector Optics cheap 3X9-44. I'm putting it on my springer and will update this post with a full report. I fully expect it to be destroyed by recoil but my experience with Vector has been good enough that I'm willing to spend $60 on the chance it won't be. Because I got it on ebay from a Vector distributor in the US, rather than from a re-seller on Amazon, I know it will arrive in a proper box, with documentation and all parts, wrapped in plastic (not bubble wrap) and in a Styrofoam cradle. In life, we all hope too get what we've paid for. My take on Vector is that you get just a little bit more.
