California turkey season is just around the corner but for now I'm really interested bagging a coyote. I have a Max .357 to take one but I installed a regulator in it and it's under powered 14 shot average 685 es 8 sd 3 84.5 fpe ….at 100 yard 550 fps 54.5 fpe. Very accurate done 1'' group at 100 yards average 2 1/2 with 4 pellets with in 1 1/2 sometimes with occasional flyer. I live in Sacramento and does anyone know a good spot to take one out but no more than 1 1/2 hour away. If your interested we can go together spot and stalk. I should invest in a yote caller but no fund for now. I should be getting two new airgun that should do the job sometime this month.

Mendocino National; Forest west of Stonyford.
Now, those fires may have destroyed some of the cover.
Go North on I5 to Williams.
Take the Williams exit to TOGOs.
Buy a #16 sandwich with mayo.
Back on I5 to Maxwell exit.
Go west to Stonyford.
At the fire station veer left.
Drive 6 miles to the campground road.
Turn right and drive past the North Fork campground to the Old Britton Ranch.
Park.
Take rifle and sandwich into the ranch about two miles until you see large oak Tree.
Sit down under the shade of a tree by the road.
You will be about 200 yards from the Oak Tree.
Eat your sandwich.
Watch for coyotes coming down the trail towards you.
They have eliminated the ground squirrels from the ranch and they now enjoy salami and provolone without vinegar & oil.
I suggest you practice reloading before you go.
You might also want to have a Mini-14 sitting by your side.
