I frequent the CalGuns.net forum and ran across this thread. Pretty awesome, bass fish earily then set up for some paper punching.
Please check out the link and let me know if you'd be into it. Or join the CGN and post up there.
Cheers,
Bart

Ok guys if an air gun range stands any chance of happening, I need to build a local constituency of folks who would support it.
Anyone interested in moving this project forward can contact me at work. And I’ll start building a distribution list to keep you up to date.
joel.d.miller@usace.army.mil
This is something I have wanted, but the project will be dead on arrival if I don’t have support.
Everything seems to start with a few guys talking…then they start standing in fields and pointing at the ground and hillsides…then the earth starts moving!
No promises, just my experiences with other projects.

i'm getting the impression there are not enuff people in your area to make this work
start a club
like LD said in one of the threads we would drive some distance to go to an FT shoot or even a BR shoot
there are small clubs (4 people) doing it now (putting on monthly shoots)
the more the merrier
i drive 2 hours north now to shoot either FT or BR
and if you got organized and made this work ? i would even drive the 6 hours for a special shoot

Next time you are in the north end of wine country, check it out.

I checked the range out today. Very nice! No one else there this morning.
FYI the parking lot has an Iron Ranger to feed, $5. From the parking lot to the range is an easy trail walk of may-be 200yds. Well worth it.

The range has two picnic tables set up to shoot from. I was there Monday and someone had destroyed one of the 10yd targets.
It's a nice place to just to hang out for a while too. Bring water it can be Hot.
Sorry for the late reply, I have not been watching closely.

I have been MIA for work and having a 22mo daughter. Best thing that ever happened to me.
I will have some free time (FINALLY!) coming up soon to check this out.
The real question is what to bring out of the safe? I have some hotrods just sitting there ready to stretch their legs.

I would be interested probably starting in July. It sounds good as I would NOT drive to field target as they do not allow larger caliber air rifles yet I would drive farther to shoot my .30 caliber

This sounds like a great resource. Will have to check this out before the rain starts.
Too bad it's not a little closer to the parking lot. I usually bring a couple of rifles air tank etc.
I have shot my pcp rifles at the shooting range near two Rock .... but its usually for shooting my .223 .308 .17 hornet... Is there a club associated with this range ? That might be fun.....

I checked out the range today. Pretty nice. All the 10 yard targets are destroyed but 35-70 yards targets still in working order. The only thing I don't like is no paper targets allowed per rules, I was hoping to sight in the my airgun. Overall, I like the range.
