Drew, I know you are still busy with your kids. I start seeing more and more starlings coming to Stockton area. I wonder if they are packed at Stephen' s farm yet... any chance to do a couple hours shooting some morning weekend, let me and the team know. thx

Will do: I "finished" the playset/fort, so now I might be able to wiggle some more shooting time into the schedule. I'll let everyone know.

busy daddy! ;-). let us know when you are available. Oh! also, I would like to ask you if you or Stephen can be my/our reference for an opportunity shooting in private land in Oakdale since you guys own properties. my co-worker' s dad own organic farms that has lot of ground squirrels that cause flood irrigation. He keeps loosing more $$ . he and his farm neighbors use poison bait for years, but the ground sguirrels seems to know a trick now. He is going to allow me and our Nor Cal GTA team, if you guys want to go with me, in to his property, but he needs to understand liability and safety of his farm equipments. I told him that I have passed firearm safety & hunting training and have done this for 20 + years. the only time, I ever caused damage was when I once hit a metal pole and a pellet bounded and penetrated a sprinkle hose near by. I notified a farm owner and offerred to pay for damage. He refused my offered because it was cheap rubber. So, please PM me if you and or Stephen are ok with this call. My co-worker' s dad name is: Rick. thx

It's "pretty-much-done": I still want to make some hand-holds out of steel pipe and place them near the ladder and the slide.
Here's a pic taken before I put the sides up.
My son loves it, and the cat likes it because the dog can't get to him, when he's inside the structure. Hahaha.
This first week back at work has been rough: We're getting the same lack of sleep, and now I can't sleep in!
It feels like I'll never get a chance to go outside and shoot, again...

NO... ugh.
I'll be flipping pancakes at the preschool's pancake breakfast. I don't know if I can express how much I'd rather be in Ione... haha

Wow, is that something you designed yourself Drew? I built my boys a 8x12 sandbox and thought THAT was a serious accomplishment. Now they want a slide....
Flipping pancakes this weekend huh? I don't know if that's better or worse than painting a little over 2 dozen bookcases our kids school this weekend....

Yeah, I had to, unfortunately: All of the pre-builts were too big, too small, or WAY too expensive. I consider my time as being valuable, for sure, and don't mind paying for some things, but some of those play sets are going for a LOT. I'd rather work on it, then... haha. I wanted to build it around his covered sandbox, too, as anything uncovered is asking for trouble from all of the local cats (ours included).
You got me, though: Flipping pancakes is a lot better than painting that many bookcases.

Cool play set there Drew. From one dad to another involve yourself in all you can with the youngsters. They grow up way to fast and you never get this time back. I wish I had did more with my son but it's all good. Plenty of shooting time left so no worries there.

Well said. I want to do more "boring" things with him: I think back on my favorite times with my dad, and it was always "boring" things (working in the orchard, building things, working the berries, fixing motors, etc.).
