Oh... barring a bonfire and camp-over, my wife's cousin and I are going to develop a "Carnival Field Target" course. He's going to take the time to weld some interesting targets for driving us crazy.

Drew and everyone, it was great experience get-together with all of you who know stuffs. I can imagine how fun it will be if we can camp out, bonfire then scout the area an hour before the sun! it will be fresh and beautiful morning event! yes. next time, BBQ is on me. And, I like your term, " poison-of-choice" LOL!!! oh, I live in the same neighborhood with Xander, Fast14riot. He is busy with his little kids just like you now, but let' s check with him if he can join us next time. looking forward to meet with all of you again soon!

I definitely will! I've been trying to rope him into air-gunning, and I think seeing the group and all of the different guns really helped... mwa-hahaha.

Sounds like a fun time to me too. Like Tony said thank Stephen for us . I'll bring the burbon oh and maybe a couple of shooters too.

. A little recap on the day as I think about it. George pretty much showed us what an older silver streak and a good shot can do. That man can shoot. I got tired watching Tony pumping his disco.

. Drew made everything look easywith that 510. Me, I just played around hoping not to embarrass myself with my shooting. I do think Stephen liked the old Sears pumper though. That was a nice old springer he was shooting.

Yeah, George is actually intimidating, once he starts shooting. I shot that Silver Streak twice, and I know it would take a lot of work to feel comfortable with that rifle.

The pumping is funny: I thought it would be a chore, but once I realized I could just go and shoot, I embraced it. I just can't justify getting high-pressure bottles, so I'll be hitting the Air Gun Biathlon for a while, yet.

That gun is spoiling me. I need to spend more time with my other guns, or else I won't be able to shoot them, soon. As much as I like PCPs, I'll always want and have a rifle that's pick-up-and-go ready.

That Sears rifle was impressive, and it's obvious it's smooth. It doesn't hurt that it's beautiful, either!

Once Stephen fixes up that 124, that rifle is going to be SICK. I can't wait until he puts in the new spring and seal, and gives it a proper lube. That buzz will be gone, and that thing will make a priest blush.

As you can see by the picture I'm still getting use to sitting on a bucket and using sticks. there was a slight cross wind that I was adjusting to. but I did get the wire on my second try after I saw it.

I think the bear was at forty yards and the wind was coming from left to right. I need to get some kind of butt plate because I did such a nice polish on the butt stock that the gun will slip at any slight movement.

so with the gun slipping, and with thumb on the hold down safety and finger on the trigger when the gun slips the shot doesn't go where I want.

Out in Modesto. I got lots of room to shoot... just nothing to shoot at and no time.

I had starlings and HOSP around here, but the FDPCP has done a number on them. Only see the occasional HOSP now, and they are very easily spooked.

cool! I work in Modesto every Tuesday. do you plink, pest control or legally hunt small games also? I have been hunting for years, usually about 1-2 drive from Stockton, sometimes to Sonora & Tuolume

Most of my shooting is HOSP and starlings. Occasionally, I'll go out with my dad to cull the rabbit population. One of these days I would love to try for turkey. Just have to wait till the kids are a bit older. Got three kids under three.....

same here! I am still taking care of my 16 yrs daughter who is in basketball team. lot of tournaments on a weekend that stops me from going out to enjoying my hobby, shooting my air rifle. Stick around. We will get together when we have a chance. Enjoy fun and safe shooting.!

Guess being an old fart has it's advantages. No more kid stuff,although it is fun. I pretty much am available anytime unless doing my bill paying job. Hopefully we can get together a few more times. Beats the heck out of shooting by myself for sure.

Building my son's playset is going faster than I expected, so I may be able to get another shoot set up, soon...

Funny enough, when I went to the shop to grab the circular saw, the other morning, I thought I'd check to see if getting out there earlier would make a difference. I just walked along that same fence, and the ground squirrels were out and about. They'd duck into their holes once I got within about 70-80 yards, though, so it'll still be a waiting game. I can't wait until the young, dumb pups come out!

Kid stuff and work take up about 95% of my time. Usually I pay for it later when trying to do fun stuff. Like last night, I stayed up late (2AM) disassembling an AR2079 I just picked up. Of course at 2:30 the baby wakes up and won't sleep, so I deal with that (before giving up and handing her back to the wife)... and then one boy wakes me up at 5 am saying he's hungry.... and so on. Let's just say I'm drinking lots of coffee at work today.

Oh, and I paid too much for the AR2079 considering it arrived with a crack in the stock, leaking valve, wouldn't cock, and looks to be scratches in the bore. Not worth it to pay return shipping.

Will be another rainy day project. It'll go into the box with the dismantled 2400KT. May have to wait till I'm an old fart too! Maybe I should have you over Barry-- you're local and seem to know your way around an airgun.
