I want a peep sight for my Daisy 953...

but I know very little about them. What kind of sight can be used on a gun with the standard size scope rail? Do any of them just mount to a rail like a scope mount?

Yep. I'd check PA first. They have lots of different peeps. The daisy is okay but probably lowest in quality

Not the cheapest but I have one and it is pretty good. It will work on standard dovetails, can be removed from base and used with a 1" ring and will accept a Gehmann iris.

Yeah Lizzie, there are a few that'll fit the 11mm dovetail.  The daisy will work fine, but if you really get into it, you'll spend more, I'd say look at PA as well, they offer some others that are more "middle of the road" that'll do you well.

I think the daisy 5899 works great for the money. They do the job quit well. But after awhile throw a scope on an mini snipe out to 30 30 yd,s.
