A late addition but may be helpful. Earlier this year I bought a refurbished Diana 34 Classic in .22. If I had been fully aware of all the issues it had I would have returned it for refund. But most of the problems I thought I could fix, and the price was right. I figured out the barrel was very poorly made. it had a very tight lead from the chamber into the rifling, but the chamber itself was too loose even for larger diameter H&N FTT pellets, had to be careful or they would just fall out. I pushed some pellets through and discovered a very tight spot 5 inches into the barrel, and about 5/8 inches long, then the pellets would almost free fall till they hit the choke at the end of the barrel. Tried polishing the barrel with JB bore compound, and did manage to reduce the tight spot, but the chamber seemed even looser. I contacted Pyramid Air and was basically told I was on my own. I tried contacting Diana in Germany, and filled out two online forms to try to get another barrel. Never heard back from them. I filled out the forms on Blueline never heard back from them. I called Airgun Depot and Airguns of Arizona and was basically told the same thing; Blueline was hard to deal with and they didn't want to go there and would not order parts from them. I called Blueline and was basically told that they don't sell to individuals, only to dealers, or through their warranty department. I considered my 34D to be out of it 2 month refurbished warranty per PA, and was more than willing to pay. I ended up calling them again a few weeks later trying to get some answer as to what a Diana customer was supposed to do to get parts if Blueline wouldn't sell them, and no US dealer wanted to get involved. Manager acted surprised and said he wasn't aware of this issue. After 4 phone calls, and numerous unanswered emails with their warranty department I had given up. Then, just two days ago, out of the blue I got an email from their warranty department asking for my shipping address. THE NEW BARREL IS IN TRANSIT TO ME FOR FREE! Shouldn't be this hard to get parts, but I do not appear to be alone in this issue. I did look at several of the British sites, but really did not want to spend more for a new barrel than I paid for the whole refurbished unit. I guess the moral here is you really have to be persistent, and patient, and maybe lucky. I just hope the replacement barrel is of better quality than the original. I should have it next week.
I received the new barrel from Blue Line and was pretty excited till I pulled it out of the box and saw that they had sent me the complete barrel assembly, rear and front sites, and cocking arm - but for a 34 EMS:) I sent them pictures showing side by side comparison of the two assemblies, 34 Classic vs EMS, and asking for next step, but have not heard back from them yet. When filling out the paperwork and answering email questions I had given them copies of my receipt and had used the word "34 Classic" numerous times and had even given them the serial number. I will give an update once I hear back from them.Thank you Hector. Some weeks ago, I had actually filled out a form on your website as well to see if you had any ideas for getting a new barrel assembly.
