Not a greatly edited video but thought i would share how i took down 3 hogs in about 15 minutes with my 9mm snowpeak M25, i still have a few more to deal with as they are destroying my farm and feed for my goats.

I shot a big sow and a smaller hog at the same spot the night before and this big sow who was there knew something wasnt right this night and came looking ...

Nice video Alex.
Wild pigs do a lot of damage around here. A neighbor shoots them and makes dog food out of them. He has several large dogs.

Thanks for the comments guys, nothing better than being able to share it after the work i have done so far on the gun and the help i received here which got me there

Got to admit the night before.. in the video below you can see both shots were bang on target but i aimed too high and i was pumped and shaking

but found both -50 mtrs away and both shots found to be high, my mistake but for my first real use of the gun other than paper i wasnt disappointed and with a little self control the following night it all came good as you have seen

Maybe there will be another video soon, i spent three nights there this week with no visitors, I take a night off and four spend two hours on my bait

which is just corn.
Off camera i found the pellet in the large sow that dropped, the entry hole about 10-15mm diam, my knife just dropped in the hole a considerable size compared to the pellets diameter, not just a pellet sized hole , it passed out the back of the skull and down her neck into the shoulder, impressive even though she came looking for me, she dropped at about 20-22 yards, the second pig at 32 yrds, but very impressed with the penetration and the pellet's were nicely flattened.

I know there are some that are against pcp's taking pigs but after my experience and after watching hundreds of Asian and Brazilian guys on YT taking head and non static lung shots, so hitting 'in the zone' at 50-60 mtrs with just a .25 cal, mainly the Asian guys with the .25's, and up to 9mm and then finding the pigs 'down' 50 mtrs away i think even a reasonably placed shot, even getting pass through on both lungs the .25's get, it is a deadly shot if well placed and having around the same 'effect' on the animals as far as i can see on paper and in videos is about the same as a lr22.
For me it is always a head shot.

Yes, from my researches about headshot placement, the right aim is about "1" cm above the eyes line. Exactly as you did in the first video. To be 'perfect' , it should be perpendicular to the forehead (so as not to slip), BUT your gun/pellet showed this is not being critical for these hog's sizes. If you see a really big male (thicker/harder forehead bone), maybe your extra patience should be tested.

Good job! What kind of spot light are you using? Yep maybe she was smelling you a little bit with the hog blood from the night before. I see your tractor has lights but mine doesn't anymore. No issue since I use a bright head lamp. No more tearing up your property for those hogs.

Hi, well they have changed their visiting times and on random days so the ones left are on edge a little.
No spot lights used just infra red and i use the trail camera alerts to tell me when they arrive at the feed spot if i have fallen asleep

I have a Oneleaf nv100 clip on night vision for my scope and have been very impressed with it for a cheap NV.
Some of the video was from some night binoculars i have, nightfox Corsac 2, good for looking around but the video is a bit blurred but when using them they are pretty clear.

The few left are on a ticking clock as they are ripping up my fields of triticale for my goats.......... I love bacon and sausages

Cool is the IR light red when you look at it? They seem to be catching sight of it looking right at you. I wouldn't think they'd be able to hear you as much noise they were making. I've seen other IR that looks dark purple making it harder to see by the human eye. I have a red light IR scope which the hogs have never reacted to like they did with my two non IR red and green LED hunting lights.

Yes it is the 850nm so the bulb is visible if they look right at it but they cant see the light from it. I think mainly they were just looking in my direction not right at me as i have been watching them for many months on the trail camera with the same 850IR and they all seemed to be happy eating and facing my hide regardless of wind direction.
The acorns have dropped and the rain has started to arrive so they have changed their pattern and i have need some time in a real bed and some proper sleep

Believe me I'm well familiar with the lack of sleep they bring. Before I got wifi trail cams I patrolled the property every 1.5hrs-2hrs which took a serious toll over time. The cams only wake me up when hogs arrive. No other critters will wake me up with a notification. Now that they can't see me coming with lights and they know I can tag them even far into the woods invisible to them in the dark with my thermal they stay in the woods and avoid my yard like the plague after hearing their buddies screaming after being hit via heart/lung shots with the AR15 which terrifies the group. I used to have 20+ hogs tearing up my yard at night where I had to waste hours fixing their damage. None of that bs anymore since they don't want to go out like their buddies did.

Nice Hogs Alex, they just keep coming back..... I'm still waiting to get my hogs, I just need to be patient and wait for them to come through the creek.

Head shots is the way to go.
