Hi guys, hope everybody is doing well. I just learned about the velox (been busy with rc stuff). Before I “pull the trigger”, I’ve seen mixed reviews. What has been your experience with it?
I really want one but I wanna hear y’all’s opinion first.

had mine for a month.. Its alright , keep the pressure above 2400 psi or soo and its reliable.I always fill right to the redline , which is right around the 3600 suggested. . Its pretty weak so id say its a plinker, atleast in 22 cal. Its a fairly large pistol , and doesnt have much air on board, the air it does have it uses pretty quickly.. While i think they could have done better, its cheap compared to the evanix and huben.

Got mine last thursday after a long back order. was literally keying in the info to cancel it when I got notification it was being shipped.

ITs packaged nice. Hardshell case, a replacement fill whip connector (more on that), some orings and manual. second mag was in the grip

the gun itself is a beast. points well using both hands, just dont hold on target for a while as itll tire your hands/arms. Sights are good. Rear sightis removable, front sight not. But I beleive it can be adjusted a bit. front and rear are fiber optics

Mine came with the attched cylinder filled. got just under 20 shots before the gage fell into the yellow. Tried to refill off my tank, but that connector wont go over the nipple. Hatsan includes one that will fit, but Ive not been able to get the current one off my fill whip. Im told the factory nipple is just a shade bigger than what Im used to, causing that issue. Im debating on spinning the gun's nipple on the mill and filing it down a bit then polishing ... if I cant get the other one off

Trigger isnt bad

its loud. needs a muzzle device. Even WITH a muzzle device its still noisey. I blame the blow back cycling allowing air out from places other than the muzzle. With a device it is muchmore back yard freindly

its funky to load. mags load as with many other mag fed guns, nothing goofy there. Loading the mags in the gun though is a "learned" technique. Adding optics to this thing is hampered somewhat by mags physical prescesne on the gun, and how the mags have to oreinted and pushed to load them

looking in the cocking slot, you can see some roughness on some parts, its over lubed. I expect it to get a lot smoother after clearing both of those up

Been some reports of full auto bursts. have had 3 episodes of that. IMO its ONLY an issues if you allow the gun to drop out of the green range on the gage, and fire the thing while its not up to proper operating pressures. shoot the two mags then refill and you should have no issues with full auto

Please remember this: Its a 400 dollar hatsan. IF you are expecting Huben quality and performance you WILL be disappointed.

Hmmm, might be too much trouble or it sounds like that. My flash 1 still leaks all the air pressure in a couple of days, even after being inspected and “fixed” by hatsan.
I wanna like it but it has a few issues. I will pass on this one until they improve their skills on pistols.
Looks like anything decent is about over $1000 or so.

😂 alrighty then, I’m not gonna lie, that thing looks awesome.
I am happy with my Diana Bandit but this one has nice features.
Since you insist I will have no choice but to give it a try lol.

Well, put me in whatever category I fit in; but I bought one. I also bought the Tequila pistol and have a Huben on order. I really like my TQ, I have the.30 with a.22 conversion kit. The designer is a very nice guy and has really worked hard on this. It really a unique gun in the way that even a complete novice like me isn’t afraid to take it apart and work on it. I am getting more comfortable doing this and hope to get even more so. I broke down my SP m60, and still can’t figure out what its problem is, so it’s off to Veridium (I think that’s how it is spelled) in Texas. Bryan down there can take it further. It’s my first bullpup, someone brought up the possibility that it was dumped on me by a duplicitous person, that was spot on. But I did pay around $500 for it. What’s a little more money. It will be only heck of a plinking gun eventually. But I really want to know if anyone has started messing with designing a kit or accessories for the velox. Mine shoots fine, holds air, and no full auto burst yet? But it is heavy and and cumbersome to say the least. But I see it as a platform type gun, a carbine waiting to happen. I have a multi stage moderator on it, and that has taken some of the bark out of it. It kinda reminds me of Hans Solos pistol. Yeah I said it, so sue me I’m a nerd.

Last note, I appreciate all the advice and help I have been shown in the last couple months. I just want to say thank you for making me feel welcome. This is a great community with an accumulated wealth of knowledge and experience. Bless y’all.

I own one and shot about 500 JSB Exact 15.89 with it.
No problems what so ever.
Really like it, the trigger is fine, much better then I expected.
Shoot always on a remote line, much easier.

The big problem is the top rail for mounting a optic.
Nothing will fit. It is to wide, the Piccatinny aswell the dovetail.

I got the Velox refurb, it's a well used pistol but still functional. I completely disassembled it, the barrel was rusted and pitted. I have a new barrel started it will be the same dimensions as stock. I'll also make a new valve for it, with less air loss. More to come next week.

I removed the piston in the shroud and rod that is linked to the hamer.
It still repeats, but without all the movement in the pistol.
The pistol works fine between 220-120 Bar.
Since I always shoot on a remote line that is not an issue.

My goal is to make the pistol function using the least amount of air. I'm working on a new valve, the stock valve has large pressure drops built into it. The transfer port through the mono block is a big pressure drop, the hole is .2 and about .7 long, I sleeved is down to .125. I made a new hammer with a slightly larger diameter, so it can blow back using less air.

very interesting .. You could also do a longer barrel and put tiny vents in it as an assist for the piston of u plan on keeping it

My Hatsan Invader stopped shooting in semiauto mode.
It will soon be sent back to Hatsan to fix.

Yesterday I spent 30 minutes reading you entire thread on the dutch forum with all your Invader adventures.
The Invader has one the worst build ever, I agreee with you on that.

I thought that you would not buy another Hatsan in a long time

I made some progress with the Velox, when I got it someone had the hammer spring pre-load way high. So I had to figure out what was the least amount of hammer pre-load that would still allow the gun to cycle. The sear uses a very heavy spring that puts a lot of force on the hammer creating a lot of drag. I installed a lighter spring and it made a noticeable difference, I got an increase in power with less air loss. So I'm happy with the back end of the gun, and I will try to tune the valve next. My crony died, I ordered a new one but don't know when I'll get it.

The Hatsan's are poorly build, but they make some nice modelspoor.
Also own a Velox and a Vectis. Just guns for fun.
For some serious target shooting I would never buy a Hatsan.
