I finally got around to testing some new 89gr. ammo I cast, 2 years ago

LOL Still have another one to go, but this is my start.
2900 psi low power
686, 679, 692, 706, 723, 720, 731,751, 755, 752,773, 160 bar, 780, 794, 150 bar, 786, 140 bar, 770, 130 bar, 788, 782, 773, 120 bar, 764, 110 bar.
Nice sweet spot in the curve from 160 - 129 bar. Next is to see if I can make up the 100 fps by using high power for the first few shots.
I may squirrel between this and my AEA .303 Challenger in a separate thread, as I am setting that up with a THOR Lt thermal.

Yes Coyote may be sniffing around the farm after blood was shed last week, and a 1/4 mile long scent trail was created moving the body to the burial sight.

Saw a coyote on my way home from work, was getting twilight, it was making a run from one section of woods, across a fild then the road, into another 80 acre fields before the next woods, good size one, thought it was a small deer at first, as I saw a heard of them a few miles earlier. Make note bring guns next time lol.

I decided to skip the 50 yard sight in and walked them in at 105 yards. First 2 shots hit the spinner, after they hit the ground ahead of the target. Target still bends on impact, slugs still get totally flat.

Next step will be placing targets every 10 yards, after casting more ammo, as I am getting low on that brand now LOL.

I know I am forgetting something . . . LOL

I have it set up with a 1 mil holdover at 100 yards, so I want to find my holds for ranges for 100 and less, then I may work it out to 150 yards also as I have that to work with if I put targets up by the wood pile.

Dang, 150 with the recluse! Haven't read much long range shooting accounts with that gun. Looking forward to it.

I don't often use my mildots beyond a couple due to shooting mostly at shorter ranges and in .177. Just got a new scope and am wanting to learn it better anyway. Maybe your recluse testing will help me.

If you have the means to size your casts, I highly recommend it. Long story short, I tried as cast with my 909s. The caster said it's no big deal. The groups were nothing to brag about, even at 30 yards. Nothing touching. However, once I sized all the slugs they were all touching. I now size all of my slugs before shooting any of them. Consistency is key, as I found out the hard way.

I shot about 10 of a deep HP slug I am testing also, accuracy is better than expected, I was going to get some more range time in yesterday but worked longer than planned, and had to get home to take SWMBO out for her birthday dinner

Also tested some.303 slugs out of the Challenger .30 Standard. I will start a thread on the .30 when the snow melts
