What happened to Sacramento Valley Airgun Club?

New to GTA and from the Tracy area. Anyone left out there?
SVAC website seem to have gone stale. Did they close? Moved? Created something new elsewhere?

No change other than in 2020 we as everyone was SHUT DOWN.  The ranges where we shoot locked down etc .... Our web site was silent due to mandatory group activity protocol.
While we did do a few matches last year, it was kept between known members of the SVFTC and no public outside advertising was done.

Here now in 2021 we had our 1st match last month in IONE, Aprils match WAS TOO BE this Saturday in Yolo ... It is going to be a rain out and was canceled yesterday and will be shot the following Saturday at the Kerndt ranch in Elk grove.

Where is this Kerndt Ranch in elk grove? Is this a private shooting range?

Private property ....
Its use which has only been  1 or 2 times a years is ONLY OPEN to SVFTC membership generally & ONLY on the day of a scheduled club FT event.
As too the WEB SITE ... yea we have had issue there with BOTH our web site gurus MIA ( One moved away and other we never saw the entire tho limited 2021 season ) Will be working on this issue over the winter !!

IT IS IN STONE HOWEVER ... the SVFTC 2022 FT season will ALL be held at the Sacramento Shooting Center in IONE .... THE 4th SUNDAY of each Month @ March to October at RANGE #9

At our monthly club FT events .... Yes visitors are welcome to watch from behind the firing line and a non distracting distance from those shooting.  Safety glasses required for ALL while anyone is actively shooting.
There generally is some "For Fun" ( Actually it is all for fun ) shooting after the match/s with some staying after and just screwing around with there air rifles within our 100 yard deep range #9
Only folks allowed to shoot DURING and AFTER the match/s are those who have paid a range / match fee and signed liability waver forms.

Yea our rotating attendance of near 40 Air gunners is quite the squad of HOOLIGANS with 18-28 generally in attendance month to month.

Went to the sac valley shooting range for the first time today, the only guy with shooting airgun among powder burners. Nice range out to 100 yards but stayed at 50 yards for the whole day. I will definitely make an effort in the near future to attend FT to meet fellow airgunners. I never participate in any FT matches but judging from my experience today, it looks to be a really difficult sport. Any slight breeze pushes my .22 30  fpe pellet around, looking forward to see how you guys do it with 20 fpe gun.

We as a club operate out on the Private ranges ( Right ) or EAST of where you go to the public access ranges. ( range 9 )   see my Sig line for updated SVFTC info.
