I'm starting to see the results being posted by the Hosts: http://www.wftc2018.com/index.php/resultsI think we need to up the difficulty (not you .22Jim!) at our local matches. Dave C. had a great idea, to start shooting local matches with one shot per target. Same number of total physical targets, go through the course twice.
Well hopefully with a few shots as a buffer it should help me out.I was looking forward to shooting a complete 150 shot world's but due to weather and time it isn't going to happen. Average score on blue is certainly higher than the other two. It would have been nice to shoot it, I was really hoping to hit more targets percentage wise, but I'm happy in the spot where I am. It's not over until everything is final, but 10th would be nice. Cameron
Looks like nobody gained any shots via protest to take my position. So I'm in tenth, and luckily we had a pretty consistent day the second day as well. USA Piston Team coming home with a first place!
Congratulations, what an incredible accomplishment, 10th in the World! That's almost as good as beating Uncle Bob in one of our matches Team USA first in the world as a piston team, that is even more amazing. Great shooting by Ray, Matt and yourself. That medal will be something you can be proud of the rest of your life! Have a safe and uneventful trip home.Jim in Sacramento
After 2 days, the event is over for piston shooters. I see on the results page they did not all shoot the same 2 courses. I assume rain is the cause of canceling day 3 for them. Congratulations to all the piston shooters . Ya did great!
.... No jacket, no fancy glove but he did shoot a HW97 with beautiful Ukrainian Walnut with a beautiful butthook/ shoulder hook assembly.
I'll have to get pictures of the piston shooters from Tyler, Riz or Lauren. Lots of fun last night, very proud to be a part of the piston team this year. It was unfortunate to not shoot all three courses. With people over protesting targets the first day I waited a total of 7 hours to shoot. I was dehydrated because there was no water on the sight in range, and tired from Jet lag and being there waiting for so long. My partner Ischvan and I met up at lane 16 Black course and started a long evening of shooting. We quickly caught up to the shooters two lanes ahead of us due to the fact that he was young and able like me to complete a lane in just slightly over 2 minutes. No jacket, no fancy glove but he did shoot a HW97 with beautiful Ukrainian Walnut with a beautiful butthook/ shoulder hook assembly. If I had known cell phone cameras weren't allowed on the course I would have brought my old digital one. I'm sure there will be more posts soon, Riz, Tyler and I are heading to the airport soon to catch a ride to the USA, home of the 2018 World Piston Champions!
