... like maybe all cartoon character targets or all emoji targets or such?FT targets are pricey, I know, but I thought some of the longer-established clubs might have done something like this.I attended some archery field target meets that offered themed targets that were really clever.Paper is cheaper than steel. True. Bob
When me and the boys were shooting field target archery, that was normal for club matches. The club in Napa (Silverado @#$%^&) used dinosaurs.Lodi used cartoons.Marin used Star Wrs characters.Etc.
Ya know bob ... have for 2 seasons now offered up the SVFTC target maintenance to the clubs membership waiting for someone to step up and take it over.** perk of this is YOU CAN PAINT TARGETS any way you wish and the members at the matches shooting them just have to giggle & deal with it !!BOB,here is your chance to get what ever THEME you wish upon our clubs targets ... wink wink Scott, current keeper of the SVFTC whacko wild targets
Before I tore up an elbow and a shoulder I shot 3D archery matches. Our club hosted an all traditional tournament each year. We took a standing bear and converted it into an Energizer Bunny complete with a pink paint job, fuzzy ears, fuzzy tail, and a drum made out of Styrofoam. We placed a notice at the head of the lane and on the drum to please do not shoot the drum. Traditional a r ch e r s being traditional a r c h e r s shot up the drum. So the next year, we modified the drum. It looked the same but had a steel core. Then we set back and watched the fun.Jim
I wonder if you can print out color cartoon character. Glue it to a piece of corrugated cardboard. Cut out a kill zone and the area around the pull string nut. Use double sided tape attach it to the typical Gamo Squirrel face plate.
