I need another scope like I need a hole in my head. But I'm hearing good things from Paul P in N. Carolina about them.Scott S says you bought one of the new Tac-Vectors. Since you shoot Hunter, can you share which scope you got from the four in the lineup, why you picked it in particular, and how you like it so far, please? I also wonder if it focuses down to 10 yards.
Cameron, I bought the same scope a few weeks ago and mine will only focus down to 11-12 yards at 40x. It is clear at 10 yards if I use 10x. How did you adjust the scope to focus at 10 yards at 40x? On some non-AO scopes I have been able to remove the end ring on the objective and adjust the lens. Can this be done on the Sentinel? On a side note, I was able to modify a UTG 80 mm sidewheel to fit the Tac Vector by grinding the rubber insert.
Is that end ring glued on because I can't loosen it! Thanks for the help.
I had the 10-40X50 in my Amazon wish list, but lately it's been "currently unavailable". Did all you Sac valley FT guys buy them up?
Really interested in the 4-16 version and its ranging ability, but it doesn't appear to be a lot smaller or lighter than the 10-40.Correction, the 3-18 or the 4-14???
Overall, the scope did it's job. It took a little longer to do the ranging than I was used to.

Thanks! It snaps in and out of focus fairly well, but I wanted to be sure to properly range every target. It isn't as crisp at 40x with a dark faceplate, the sun was behind most of the targets almost all morning. My hawke sidewinder Ed ranges a little better so I took my time ensuring I ranged the target properly with an unfamiliar scope. Shooting a spring gun also may have made me be more patient.
Is the "travel" of the focus knob exceptionally long?
Quote from: TwiceHorn on January 22, 2018, 10:28:41 PMIs the "travel" of the focus knob exceptionally long? The travel is quite long, when you have the objective backed out it increases the usable area of the wheel. My wheel is 100mm, and I use almost the entire circumference.
