Have a ghog under my porch...

Came back later today to find him at work again.  Tore up all the stones I put by the fence, trying to excavate under the fence.  Due to the rain, he gets a pass for today.  When he saw us approaching he dove under the porch again.  Tomorrow his number is up.  Added some bricks by the bottom of the fence, expect they will be moved today or tonight.   Need to buy some canteloupe - it worked last time.

My friend has eluded me.  I walled off all possible access to under the porch except where I placed the trap.  He's not taken the bait.  Then again, I haven't seen him anymore either.  Probably made him a nice safe spot to hang out in >:(   Next week I'll pull the lattice work down and drop him a little message (tied to a smoke bomb).  My wife wants to plant stuff, and so do I, but I'm reluctant to feed groundhogs, if you know what I mean.

I told you last year they'd be back Bruce!  ;D  Have fun going after this one. 

Unfortunately rocks and bricks don't stop a G-hog.  My wife tried it before I started shooting them 25 years ago and we ended up with more burrows and damage.  The only solution is a pellet between eye and ear to take out the brain.  Looking forward to the pics.
