--- Quote from: Veprjack on June 19, 2015, 08:11:45 AM ---I'm new and staying in York ME for the summer. If it's only an hour or so, I'd drive to a meet - even if we are the only two! ::) I can usually do a Tuesday or Thursday.
Let me know and I'll PM you my #.
Thanks,
Jack

Yeah man, you need to shoot my Condor! Trying to think of a good place to meet. I know there is an airgun club in Hollis, at least there used to be, called Airheads of Maine.

AOM seems to be quiet these days. I plan on joining a club, down here, but that's a haul for you! I DO want to shoot the condor, but then I'll want one!! Actually was thinking of a Talon for, backpacking. A 50fpe pistol? Are you kidding :o
I'm willing to travel north on a Monday or Tuesday with some notice. Let me know!

I am going to join a local gun club which has a range just a few miles from me. It's only $35 a year to join. I'll let you know when I am ready and we'll do it.

If it's possible, we will do it! I'm going to join a local club too so if it works out we might be able to do something once a month or so switching off. It's embarrassing when a gun friendly state like Maine has nothing going on and Kalifornia and even Mao-Tse-Chusetts are active. I'm a Masshole, but have a total of 12 years off and on up here, so I'm almost an honorary Maineiac!?

If you can shoot straight, I'll try not to hold that against you! :P ;D
Always Learning:
Buckfield is 93 miles and two hours from Swanville Maine here on the coast.
There are few "visible" airgunners in Maine but many guns in closets. Few have any idea of the potential of an air rifle. I was one of them for years, even while I did serious study of .22 LR guns and ammo.
One day I used bore cleaner and lubed my Cummings Truck Sale B3-3 and tried good pellets.
It went from missing chipmunks at 15 feet to quarter sized groups at 25 yards.
Since then I have learned to tune that B3-3 and several air guns including a Walther LGV Challenger that was a junker, new out of the box. The Walther was not from Pyramid Air or other quality dealers, I was stuck with it. Customer Service for the Walther did not use me well either and I took that project on as well. It turned out to be a very good thing!
We need to share and learn from each other and I am willing to participate too.
The time is ripe this sport to grow.

Hey Steve. I'm Belfast born and raised and my wife Daisy hails from Swanville. Her mom still lives there on the Curtis road. It would be great if we could get the guys together for a shoot and maybe a barbeque. I know of a couple guys from up north, my buddy Ken down in S, Addison, and another member staying for the summer in York. There has to be more. We need to shake them out of the trees lol. No reason why we can't organize. I have the time to organize and run a club, maybe even have our own website.
Steve, I'll PM you my phone number. Let's brainstorm!

Hey Mania's!
Fairly new to this forum. Have been a member of the "Yellow" for about 10 years. Over my tenure with airguns I would guess I have owned most of them one time or another. (Excluding Whiscomes) I have been pretty busy in Hunter PCP competition on the national / regional level. I usually host two AFFTA FT sanctions every summer on my Hollis, Maine home range and would welcome anyone that would like to participate. Our targets are made of metal and National rules prohibit the use of airguns generating over 20 ft/lbs of energy on them because they get damaged. My name is Bill and if interested or just have questions about airguns in general drop me a e-mail dayjd at sacoriver.net.
