There's a HoneyHole here that I found that isn't far from where I live:
46.663985, -120.795912

This is where I've been shooting.  It has a small parking lot and some large boulders that I use as bench rests.  I tried to post a photo, but it was just too much of a hassle.  File is too big, can't link to external file, etc.

I was wondering who actually owns this land, so I looked it up. I believe that it is the Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife. According to the Yakima County Property Tax assessor's website it is registered to "Washington State Dept of Game" which I imagine is the precursor to the Dpt of Fish and Wildlife: http://www.yakimap.com/servlet/com.esri.esrimap.Esrimap?name=YakGISH&Left=1565519&Bottom=483225&Right=1568330&Top=485535&TAB=TabSales&DropDownOrtho=None&Contour=&Utilities=&FEMA=&CAO=&DropDownPlanning=&DropDownMapSize=Medium&click.x=328&click.y=223&Cmd=PN&ORTHO_LIST=None&MAP_SIZE=Medium

I also looked into a new indoor shooting range in Yakima.  Thought it might be cool to get a group together there sometime.

Why am I not permitted to posted external links?  I've seen posts from others that have external links.

It's part of the Oak Creek wildlife reserve, supposed to be closed to the public during the spring but as long ad you're not actually hiking they don't seem to mind hunters sighting in here.

PS if you want to check whjo owns land here in Yakima check out yakimap.com

This thread seems to get resurrected periodically, so I thought I'd do my part.

I'm in Snohomish county and I'm new to "serious" airguns. Definitely looking for places to shoot with >20yd ranges, as well as meetups to learn about tuning.

Is anyone around?

Thanks!

If you ever make it over the mountains feel free to look me up.  I've been shooting at a couple different areas around Yakima.  There's an indoor range that's about 25yards and some wide open spaces that are much longer distances.  You could probably stretch my favorite place out to about 150yards.  There's also Sun Valley Shooting Park.  I've been trying to document places to shoot on this map:
