Seneca wing shot 2 power tune
10Gauge:
And by that I mean, however much performance you think you’ll get out of a tune with lead shot, box stock with TSS will probably outperform it.
By that I mean, something like a 7/8 ounce load of #7 TSS starting out about 1000-1100 has more range than 1.5 ounces of steel BB at 1450 fps. Probably better than even a load of lead #4’s. It’s amazing.
I am still waiting on the powers that be to put some crazy regs on TSS. Be careful about what’s beyond with this stuff, treat it like a rifle round.
Back_Roads:
I just started using #9 tungsten shot in my Wing Shot, it does pack a punch.

Old thread but still relevant
Just got my new air tube for my Wingshot. Ordered it back in February. The old one had a pinhole that leaked air. While waiting for 8 months, I did a lot of playing and testing with TSS shot in my Doubleshot. Took a nice Tom last week at 17 yards using #9. The stuff is very expensive for sure. About $2.50 a shot. But I acquired #7, 8, 9 and 10. Making my own printed capsules and loading them with the #9 gave me the best patterns. I liked the #7s for hitting power. But there just wasn’t a good enough pattern at 20 yards to soot me.
Weight with 10gn capsul
#7 TSS 148BBs 360gn
#8 TSS 166BBs 290gn
#9 TSS 250BBs 310gn
#10TSS 408BBs 390gn
#4 lead 60BBs 195gn
#5 lead 70BBs 185gn
#6 lead 88BBs 190gn
Back_Roads:
I came up with the same weight with #9 t also the same weight as a slug I use in that gun, took a Mourning dove at 25 yards a couple weeks ago, still chasing that turkey ;)
