No email notifications since the update

Clear your cache and browsing history. Delete any shortcuts to the forum. Use your choice of search engines to locate the forum and log in. Save a new link.
Afterwards you may have to go in and reset your notifications setting.

"Alerts changes notifications to alert by default so people have to go in their settings and set it to how they want to receive their notifications."

I have never heard of cache or history stopping someone from sending me an email ???
I have no trouble accessing the forum at all. I still can access it directly or from all links GTA previously sent me. There are no notifications going from GTA to any of my devices including my phone either. It's just as if I had no subscribed threads.
