Check Valves
3crows:
I am trying to set up my YH to fill a carbon fiber tank. I will then use the tank to fill my air rifles. I need a check valve so I can bleed off the compressor so I can start it without the tank putting pressure back on the system, to isolate the compressor and downstream parts.
What check valve can be recommended?
Rob M:
if theres a foster nipple on the tank , that is the check valve.. It wont allow pressure from the tank to go back to the compressor

Not gotten there yet but I suppose that is true, with a foster fitting for filling separate from the one going to the rifle as some valves appear to be set up, I do not need a check valve?

Check valve should be in foster male. Lets air IN but not out.
Sometimes I use a slide vent (similar to link) to depressurize the hose after filling so there are no surprise POPS when it's time to decouple the fosters.

Same vent could be used OPEN to start the YH with zero back pressure and then CLOSED to build pressure and fill the bottle?
