Older Crosman 760. Need info please.

A 3/4/5 gen?  The first gen had wood furniture, a square tang groove and no dovetail.  Then they added a dovetail and round stock-tang (2), then they went to the plastics that you have (3), then to a wood forend on the pump handle and butt-stock like yours (4), then to serial numbers on the side of the receiver (5).  I haven't tracked them after that because they added too much plastic for me to be interested.

I think yours may be an ultra-rare factory-franken.  I've never seen one like it.  Is the barrel rifled?

Officially a 2nd variant according to Crosman,  but by my count I'd call it the 6th or so variant.

They started with the smooth top dark grey receiver, square tang ,gold colored trigger, and wood furniture / tootsie roll forearm.
Went to a black receiver , round tang,  same trigger and furniture.
Black receiver,  scope rail,  blued trigger, same furniture.
Then the forearm changed from the tootsie roll to a smooth rectangle with a fuller along either side.
From there on to this variant and a bunch more after that, there are loads of variations to be found because Crosman didn't waste perfectly good parts.
