.22 pelle weight...

(1/3) > >>

454 Big Block Chevy:
is a 16 grain pred to heavy for my cfx?  i don't want to damage it.  i read somewhere, although i dont' remember, that the recommended pellet weight is 15 grains for a springer gun... anyone chime in?

RedFeather:
That's about twelve per cent over a standard 14.3.  My guess is it won't hurt the gun.  Anyone want to add to this?

BTW, it depends a lot upon spring thickness.  For example, I should be able to safely shoot 10 grain .177 pellets in my 54, and heavier than 7.9 are really recommended.  Not sure what thickness the stock CFX spring is.  Gene?

North Pack:
Never use over 14.3 gr - but a "tad heavier" probably won't do any harm.

pindog2000:
I don't think it will but u may suffer spring fatigue if that's ur main pellet u use all the time ,even for magnums I woulndt go pass 16 grains but for a reg .22 14.3 is ideal but hey I shoot .177 gamo rockets 10 grainers in my ruger blackhawk lol you should be fine bro as long as its not the go to pellet

454 Big Block Chevy:
my CFX loves 16 grain preds, and i don't want to rape it...
