g4 pump and evanix rainstorm
lastedtiger:
i bought a rainstorm and a G4 pump. When i insert the probe in the rifle and pump it,i can clearly hear air coming back out from the fill probe.Almost like the 2 black o rings cant hold air from coming out.i am wondering if the probe needs an adapter,or may be i am doing something wrong.
p.s:the bleed valve is cloosed. ;D
geewhiz380:
I was in a similar situation with my g4 til gta members found a cure check out the g4 post in this gate and see if it helps otherwise call up the place and ask what adapter u need and if you dont need an adapter u might have to settle with teflon tape on threads or even better use permatex hi temp thread sealant..white tube red letters any auto shop sells them..it was the advice i got from a member who would know more than me about stuff like this ....i hope it works out fine for u ...jorge
Nomadic Pirate:
Usually if it comes out from the probe itself some divers silicone grease on the O-rings will fix it,...... if it is on the threaded connection between the probe and the pump hose ( I only had that happening once with a foster female) and some teflon tape fixed it, .....but never had that happening with the Korean probes
ZzyzxJoshua:
This is the one frustration I have had with two Blizzards. Divers Grease on the o-rings each time is the only solution I have found. That and pump hard the first few strokes to get it started. Without the grease each time it is almost impossible to seal.
Maybe thicker o-rings would do it. I have not tried that yet.
Wish it had a simple system like the marauder, would be a lot nicer.
Nomadic Pirate:
Have you checked if the O-rings are nicked ?
You can go to any hardware store and get replacements : 11/32 x 7/32 x 1/16 # 47
