I am in Cypress
Only thing we do here is Air soft practical & steel plate shooting.
All with CED8000 timer
Very fun
My boys & I do shoot in our back yard with pellet rifles & pistols to but nothing past 25 yards
30 if we really cram things
We do belong to an air gun club in Lyons about 1hr from Cypress Hwy290 & Fry
It is an AWESOME club with everything from major field target courses to rim fire silhouette

Sounds like you guys already have enough to have your own club.  I don't know if any exist here in Little Rock.  Does it cost?

Tried to start a club here in the Spring area at one time.  No luck.  I'd like to join a club here locally instead of driving all the way to Somerville.

The only place I can find dedicated to air guns is this. Bruiser mentions it in Lyons.

Yegua Airgun Club
Scott York, Range Director
P.O. Box 245
Somerville, TX 77879
Phone (979) 255-8324

Can anyone recommend a store in Houston with any selection of air rifles, preferably PCP's?

TIA, Will

Here's another event coming up in September.

TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AIR RIFLE SILHOUETTE
September 28th, 2013
Type of Tournament: One-Day NRA Registered Air-Rifle Silhouette Match.
Each gun (Sporter, Target,Open) will fire 60 shots.

Host and Location:
Texas State Rifle Association, hosted by Bayou Rifles, Inc, at the small-bore rifle
range, located in the Addicks Dam reservoir, west of Houston, approximately
½ mile north of IH-10
West at the Eldridge (753) exit @ GPS coordinates
+29° 47' 34.72",-95° 37' 1.29".

For entries or further information write or call:
Larry Engle, 2023 Spillers Lane, Houston, Texas 77043

For you folks on the West or Northwest side of Houston Bayou Rifles might be the least painful option. Yearly membership is like $35/year and the range is at I-10 and Eldridge.

The last time I checked with Bayou Rifles there was like a waiting list for memberships that was a year or so out.

It only took my wife and I about 3 months to get accepted at Bayou Rifles and IMO it's well worth it.

Right now I'm thinking about applying for a membership at Pearland Shooting Club. They have a very nice air gun range and some very talented shooters.

Cheers, Will

Ken ,   Just now seeing your range.  My name is Bill and I am over here in Kingwood.  I am attempting to organize a air rifle club for young people in order to teach them marksmanship. Would it be possible to meet up with you at your range in October when the weather dies down a bit?

Hi, Everyone - I am pretty new to airguns. I am in Spring, near Klein HS. I would be interested in activities up here. My kids are young, and not quite mature enough to benefit from serious instruction, so I am not quite ready to bring them to anything more serious than our cub scout BB gun deals - we just enjoy the backyard BB gun thing. But I want to learn more and get better at target shooting.

I have a Ruger Air Hawk and would like to master basics with this before considering a more serious airgun. I would consider selling this and buying another in the $100-$150 range if there were a great alternative, but I like this Air Hawk.

I can check this thread regularly, or send me a PM. Thanks!

Anyone want to shoot on this range that I built. It is located 4 miles west of Fulshear Texas.

Noob here, but well equipped and a little far out (located about 25mi outside San Antonio) but have been through Fulshear plenty of times on my ventures for work in Houston/Conroe/Magnolia (Land Surveying)

No big pcp setups, just breakbarrel and two pumpers. Would love to come shooting sometime!

Let's see how October looks. We also have a clean up going on at the range after all the flooding. It has been to hot lately to work on it.

We really need to organize a Texas Fun Shoot. We have a few guys meeting once a month on the northside of Houston (Spring) now. I'm sure a lot of those guys would come to it.

Even though I live over an hour east of you, Beaumont area, I'd be interested. Just picked up a springer that I need to zero in and break in. City ordinances prohibit from firing air riffles where I live.

Is anyone still meeting in Spring?  The note above was from 2015, so did it eventually wind down or is it still going?  I'm in the Tomball area and would be interested in getting together with others (just getting into air rifles to teach my youngest son to shoot).

But is there anyone still getting together on a regular basis?
I am I in the north west area, (1960 & TC jester area), but willing to travel.
