Great deal….I started out wanting one..but couldnt justify the funds…settled on a 1358 ….noisy internals but I really like it……and very accurate out to 30 yards…...good luck…
I bought the Beeman 1358 .22 cal right after I sent the Akela back to Crosman for being inaccurate. The 1358 gives me about 40 accurate shots with CPHP shooting at steel spinner targets (1.5" diasmeter) at 60 yards. The 1358 cost about $220 and it is more accurate than the Akela (with CPHP) despite the trigger which is pretty bad but predictable.
As I understand the ad, you have to spend $2k to get the discount. I would venture a guess that they will make up the discount on the $2k of other items.

It appears that they are separate promotions- 40% of Akela OR $200 off $2,000 purchase. I love my Akela. It shoots MOA with JSB 18.13s at 50 yards, and I get 24 shots at 33 FPE with an ES smaller than many regulated guns (36 total useful shots). I also paid a local gunsmith to finish the stock, and it is gorgeous. I did have to clip a couple of coils from the hammer spring to get a flatter curve, and this seems to be pretty common with these guns. So if you buy one be prepared to clip the hammer spring, otherwise it will be a cliff velocity curve.
