I've been toying with the idea for a few weeks now about designing and printing myself an airgun mounted pellet holder for when I squirrel hunt with my Benjamin Prod. For years I have just carried spare pellets in an old 35mm plastic film canister and it works ok for what it is. I always shoot with my single shot tray instead of the factory magazine and I wanted something to carry a full load of pellets that I might require in a hunting session. So with my Prod tuned the way it is, 20 pellets seemed like a good round number. After determining the number of shots I made sure to make it deep enough to easily hold 16gr. predator poly-mags since that's what my Prod shoots best. You will notice I designed the pellet hole spacing so when you slide the cover over a pellet so it will slide out, the cover is still covering half the next pellet hole so you only get one pellet at a time. I got in a hurry and sorta goofed as you can tell in one picture that I neglected the placement of my stop pin in the lid and it ended up covering the final 20th hole so I ended up with a 19 shot pellet tray instead
With a picatinny rail printed on the backside it mounts with a flashlight adapter to the side of my scope. I can use my thumb to slide the top open to obtain the next pellet in the slot and at the end of the 19th pellet the lid is retained with those 2 stop pins I mentioned above to keep it from falling off. It works very well. Most folks will scoff at the idea of shooting single shot with a multi-shot airgun but to each his own I guess.
Thanks
Ray
