Matt you can find a very inexpensive crony on E-bay. They are all plastic, shoot thru type that are foremost intended for soft air and paint pellet guns. they are small lightweight, accurate and have a capability of measurement up to 1200 fps. They thake this input, ammo, APO, and calculate FPE at the muzzle, count shots, average fps have a contrast control, backlight and reset. They have a black outer case with orange trim and have a 14/20 threaded insert for mounting on a tripod. Unfortunately you cannot crony your shot while shooting at a target but I guess you can't have everything. I've used one for around a year and a half without any trouble. It'a a AC5000 Dims. are Width = 4.68" Height = 2.30" Length = 3.87" It's powered by 2 standard AA batteries.
Hello,I have a wood .25 avenger arriving tommorow. I have a really small yard and only need to shoot 20 yards and less. I would like to adjust to guns velocity as low as possible. Has anyone turned an avenger .25 down to the lowest reg and hammer spring setting? 600 fps is more than adequate for thumping the bird feeder raiders. I currently use a 2260 and have no issues. Also could anyone recommend a cheap chronograph? Thanks, Matt
A .25 wadcutter on pest birds would be brutal but are there any still being produced? I think you'd have to cast them yourself.
Wow thanks guys. My gun came this morning completely degassed. I probably shouldn't have but I turned the reg all the way down per the manual. I ended up at 1600 psi. Filled the gun to 300 bar and proceeded to sight in and shoot. No chrony, but I ordered the one you guys mentioned. Looks great. One tiny group at 20 yards. For fun I set some cans at 100. I shredded them holding 3 mils high. This gun seems phenomenal. I got 40 shots before the gun dropped off the reg. I am really impressed and can't wait to really tune this thing. I may leave it around this setting. Not as loud as I thought. And I don't want to lose too much long range ability at 100. The only .25 pellets I could find in stock were jsb heavy 33.94 grain. Seems to love them. I paid 32 bucks for 150 pellets. Ridiculous, but seems to be how it is until supply catches up with demand. You guys are awesome, thanks for the help and I'll be back with more questions once the chrony gets here. Happy Father's Day!Matt.

Mine is working OK, but I noticed 400 psi or so of creep. I also notice the psi in the tank dropping very slowly after the reg pressure creeps up. Is this normal? After one shot it is back to normal. At the distances I'm shooting in the yard, I don't notice any poi shift. I've heard they had some reg creep, but I am concerned it has a slow leak, but the air cylinder pressure seems to lose exactly what the reg increases. Does that make sense? I have no clue lol. I have the HS all the way out and the reg at 1200 and it creeps to 1600. If it keeps up I may exchange for another at pyramyd. But I've read on here it could potentially settle out on its own. Hopefully that's true. I talked to a nice lady from pyramyd air. I have a full 60 days, so we will see. I hate to just send it back and get something worse it shoots awesome and doesn't seem to have any other issues. With the reg at 1200 it's shooting quiet and slow. Although it did have no trouble getting a woodchuck at 35 yards. So nope not perfect, but I'm still impressed with it. Matt
