Never mind. I don't know what I was doing, but I went and re-checked it and it does have about the same amount of clicks as the windage turret. DUH!
I did the all the way in then all the way out counting clicks, then returning back to half way. What seemed strange to me was, the up-down top turret had a total of 52 clicks while the left-right side turret had a total of 240 clicks. Is this normal, such a big difference? It's an Athlon Talos 3x12x40 scope btw.
Every time I read about bending the barrel I cringe. How in the world do you bend it just the right amount, and straight up (I assume up?) and not any to the side? And for that matter I just can't quite grasp why the barrel would need to be bent. If the latching system wears and allows the barrel to droop some wouldn't it continue to wear and then you'd have to bend the barrel some more? Wouldn't you end up in kind of a viscous circle? I think we buy nice HW guns and proclaim how great they are, but we "tune" them as soon as we get them and then have to bend the barrel to make a scope line up. Kinda makes you scratch your head.

That step will reside on a stop in the form of a dowel pin or detent block (depending on model) that isn't subject to wear. Sometimes a fresh or incorrect breech seal will hold the step off the stop and cause a lower POI. Weihrauch brand seals will conform fairly quickly with use and no longer interfere with lock up.My Hw30s have tens of thousands of rounds through each other them and I replaced the detent dowel pin on one once. A five minute repair. When a barrel is trued to gun it only needs to be done once. There's no chasing your tail. It would seem stupid to have to bend a barrel on a $500 BB gun, but in most cases it's not actually necessary. Bending the barrel is just a way to get the best accuracy and scope life out of a gun. It seldom has to be done, when it does, it's no big deal if you have basic mechanical abilities or when done by the right person. Part of being uncomfortable with something is simply a matter of being unfamiliar with it. I myself initially cringed at the thought of barrel bending. Now I do it as standard operating procedure.
What does necessitate a barrel having to be bent if it's not the latching system? And why do I see all this talk about "drooper" mounts, why do so many, I guess, use them?Circling back to my original post, I mounted and remounted, and remounted my scope yesterday getting the shimming to where it was hitting somewhere close so the relatively small scope adjustments brought poi to center. A pita. If this is inherent in break barrel guns I'd think the mfgrs would take that into the design so all this adjusting wouldn't be necessary. This whole airgun journey I just started gets more complicated every day.
