Today I pulled my hatsan model 95 vortex out of storage, it’s been stored for the last two years muzzle up, and I’ve stored it like that since I purchased it in 2015.
No loss of gas ram pressure, no change in point of impact, I’ve had issues with other hatsan gas rams, but this rifle has never given me any trouble aside from killing the bundled scope.
A tasco 2.5-10x scope currently is mounted and It has been holding zero for three years.

Someone just reported on the German Gate his Diana 340 apparently lost pressure. He's currently trying to find a service center for warranty repair. I'm following his thread as I have one, myself.

I understand gamo $ucks and all that , but a guy can get a new ram pretty easy for one . Hatsan and xman as well.
I see one place in the ussr on ebay with Diana rams listed.
I guess if the ram has that bit of oil in it as claimed and said in that video I guess it's best to store it muzzle down so the oil inside stays on the shaft seal to help keep it " fresh". In some way . Just now seems like it can't hurt to do that.

How would the oil stay on the shaft if it's stored in the uncocked state?

How would the oil stay on the shaft if it's stored in the uncocked state?
Well it will be covering the seal and what shaft is in that spot.
Keeps the seal well moist an the shaft up inside should be protected
Unless moisture / water is traped in the ram tube and slowly rust.
I assume keeping the seal fresh is key to keep it sealing
In the end it lasts or it fails.
Thinking it over I guess I'll just stick with spring. My gas ram is is ok, but looking and learning and my experience with one. I may not go that route again.

reminds me of the long running debate about storing gun magazines loaded. someone finally tested it with them loaded and unloaded for 10 years+. turns out well made magazines didnt have issues either way and that loading and unloading them caused more wear than just sitting.

Few things make zero sense to me. First some eluding to it being a hatsan problem based of one gun the guy had it happen to that does the videos?? To me if it’s going to leak it’s going to leak. I don’t know how storage can have anything to do with making it more prone to that.
