I use my FoodSaver vacuum packer to make custom sized sand bags. The plastic can be sealed up to make whatever size bag you want. You can mix in some barkdust for a different action. Don't let the vacuum eat sand!!!!!!! Also, if you don't want a plastic thing under your weapon put the sealed bag into a sock and zip tie it. I use clean socks and so should you.
I stop the vacuum process before the end of the cycle cuz the bags get rock-like then seal it.
My Taipan ad Bsa like specific bag sizes and I love bench shooting. I know I am not the first to do this but thought I'd share anyways.

Johnny, think tank stuff! Your method sounds more custom fit than off the shelf rear bags 👍.

I'm kinda cheap sometimes but I did buy a Taipan. Money spent where it counts.

Why not use a Zip Lock bag instead of a Food Saver and eliminate the chance of sand, grit and dust
royally screwing up your Food Saver. Besides, Zip Locks are cheaper and you can squeeze out as much
air as you want. Another filler that could be used is bird seed. It easily conforms to whatever shape you want.
Just some thoughts.

Zip loc bags don't work as well. The vacuum makes it work and if done carefully there's no problem with sand in the FoodSaver. There's really only ONE shape, if any, with a gallon or quart bag and it deforms whereas with vacuum it holds shape. Not my first time at this problem.
